one thing we must agree is that there bound to be "technical glitch"no matter how sophiscated the system can be, therefore the onus to make sure everything is in order falls on us....

yowchuan Indeed, it's difficult, if not expensive, to build a 100% error-free system. Still, I hope that the entity that is entrusted with the sacred responsibility of ensuring the well-being of the entire nation's workforce retirement fund is keeping their accounts straight with the most stringent protocols they can afford.

This episode showed how fragile their system is, that they've to rely on the fund contributors to alert them about 'the bug'.

I am also curious on the actions taken after they've found out about the first occurrence of the bug. Did they run a scan on all existing contributions and identify any other similar omissions or did they took the wait-till-it's-reported approach?

From 10ha's statement, it seems that his/her company is also facing the same problem. If KWSP had taken pro-active steps to rectify the problem, either my friend's company or 10ha would have been notified about the error, and not having to report it to KWSP manually.

I could be wrong though.

if my RM10k can become RM100000 in such scheme, i would have become millioanaires many times over..

I was introduced to SE last year, and i was shown a video clip of theri so called convention in Genting, members supposedly from Korea,Sin,China and HongKong, and they even told me they bought a huge land in Melaka,, to build resort, and my investment of somewhere RM30k, will very fast compounded.

We can be greedy, but we can not let greed rule over us.........

Next time we should be careful of who we want to put in power, for me BN is not the answer, and PR should be given a chance, and for the next two by election ,they will field some capable canditates, we dont like another exam[le "Super girl " from DAP, who can blatantly lie to the people

That's life, when something is too good to be true, we tend to believe it is true, and the logic is always your good friend is indeed making money from the get quick scam, you jump the band wagon, you make some, you tell your friends, and they make some.

and in the end, the one who got burnt, they called it "minority"

on the same subject, i was talking to a good friend the other day and i asked her did she manage to save the money that she was supposed to pay for car installments which has finished last october of Rm550 a monthy, meekly she told me, she could not.

I was surprised with her failure to do so, and back to me now,i will finish my car installement this coming March of RM918 monthly, and i am so sure that a lot of self control is needed then to make sure i park that amount in saving when March finally arrives, and i am confident i can do it.

It is always hard to save then to spend, and with the plastic it is even easier to spend.

Seriously if you are darn good, and your reputation is excellent, this issue will not arise at all. I wouldnt ask Warren Buffet to dispense his advice according to my ways, would i ?

Just look at how many Financial Advisors we have here, but how many can we say good, and how many of their published books are good. If i were to be high networth individual, i wouldnt read their book.(no names here) .

I remember attending one so called "how to get rich" seminar, and i really liked this speaker,he said forget about how to be a millionaire, if you cant even save up to RM 5k in the bank.

The rich have already known how to make millions, it is people not so rich that only striving hard to be rich and most of the time the advice they get confuse them. ( i used to be one of them)

I like your blog bro, because i know you are down to earth and practical. Teach how to make RM 5k, then RM 10k then RM 50k, then RM 100k,that's what i called practical,,,,forget about X trend or all those silly jargons

If you cant change one's attitude towards money, one can never get there, i am very sure no matter how many seminars he attends.

thank you bro

in How To Earn More? on Meshio.com - a Malaysia personal finance blog
Bro,for me i will view all my last previous month utility bills, show them to my family, and i would tell them to try to reduce even it is RM1,eventually my children would look at the utility bills once reached, and they would see if they had contrubuted in the saving, usually they would get very excited if they could save.

yowchuan Nothing beats teaching the kids on the importance of frugality. Come to think of it, my mum is one of the most frugal person I've ever known. The fact that my parents (my mum's a full time housewife since I was in primary school) could put me and my 3 brothers through school still amazes me to this day.

So much for all the financial planning courses I took, I think I should just learn it from my mum :-D

Eugene, I think you are on the right track!

my very old friend just shared with me about MLM, thinking hard about it,may be it is a good time to have a extra avenue of income, for one shuts, another is still flowing, dont you thnk so bro?

yowchuan Bro, just be extra careful with MLM business models. I have nothing against MLM, but the MLM model has been effectively used by many scam schemes in Malaysia that the very mention of "MLM" raises doubts and suspicions amongst the public. Hence, it's important to look closely into the business model before putting your money down on it.

As long as it's a business that generates good income and delivers value to your customers, there should be nothing to worry about. The more income channels you can build, the better!

i always hate that part, you know the fine print in the insurance proposal . "the figures shown are for illustration purposes only, the future earning is only projected and not guaranteed"

So what is guaranteed is you must faitfully pay your insurance premium, or else ,,,,,,,,,,,,If giants can collapse, tell me what else is guaranteed when my investments is concerned.

Ya we should all be cautious about making big money via internet, i was once duped of RM198 by this kind of scam. He said he made RM14K in the first two months, lagi ada picture of high class apartment and mercedes somemore. I was telling myself ok la, just RM198 to learn from a genius, but he never got back to me, just imagine, if there were 50 stupid people like, it is easy to make RM10k a month la.,

The building of monorial in Penang is indefinately deferred, and yet they are talking about improving public transport system and helping the poor. Now you see it now you dont. What you hear today from them, may not be the same tomorrow.

I am from Penang, i just got the feeling BN is punishing us for banishing them, never mind i will still give Guan Eng another term.
