Country isn't quite what it was... more like rock now. I don't mind it so much anymore since I'm a rock/blues gal. Although... my favorite of all time is Alison Krauss. I agree about the creative side. You're more well-rounded now!

You know as much as I loved the music in Oh Brother, it nearly ruined the movie for me. It was weird for me, having heard Dan Tyminsky's voice before and trying to imagine it's actually George Clooney singing. Bizarre. I'm glad you hang on to the R and others too. IMHO, a real creative doesn't limit themselves to one genre of anything, music or otherwise. Although, I'm a bit biased toward abstract art, so it's not all bad, hmm?

LOL, Randy! I never really thought about the word creatives that way. Thinking about it now... anyone can be a creative if the Lord blessed them in that area, but it takes a special discipline to make an artist (which I just never had). :)

That's a really great point, Randy. It's something I've never thought about but probably have done myself, me being pretty laid back, I tend to imagine God a lenient God too.

Hi Whitney! I love Google Reader for this reason. I can quickly go post by post (not folder by folder) and read or scan as I want. Also, what I love is the "share" button. I've been using this with Tumblr with great success.

I set up tumblr to receive the feed from google reader shared items, then just click the star to share it and it automatically posts it to my tumblr blog. It also collects my delicious links (which are things I want to save more permanently - to tag and search).

Later, I browse my tumblr blog for things I've saved or shared and spend a little more time on feed items that way. Then I spend only about ten minutes a day looking at my actual feeds coming in and I have an empty inbox all the time now. I have a hard time letting it pile up. :)

I tend to agree with you. It sometimes feels condescending or cliche to always see pink on a site for women, as though if it weren't pink I'd think I was in the wrong place?

And content-wise, so far I haven't spent a lot of time on the site but from what I've seen it seems like people were chosen to write and then trusted to write something of quality based on their name, reputation, employer, etc. and the content never filtered. I've seen a few things that should probably be on a blog somewhere instead of a site for women's resources (or maybe it's designed to be a big blog).

Another good thing I noticed though, the rss changes with each section you navigate to, so if I only want the parenting feed I don't have to go looking for it.

I once googled my maiden name which is a pretty rare name, you know how someone from high school might, and found it used as a character in a book.

I second that! Although, I misread Twitter's announcement the first time around and thought they would be separate things. I would love it so much more if they would make mentions and keep replies. I love that we can track mentions now, I just think it's more important (for me at least) to see where people are speaking directly to me and/or in direct response to something I've said, rather than an off-hand mention of me.

Hey, I noticed that with the new WP version. I'm not sure what the bug is, but if you rename your main template "default" it fixes the problem. It's annoying, I know, drove me crazy for days until someone suggested this tip.

I think I have all of those in my medicine cabinet! I just found an old pack of Aleve Sinus and Headache last night. That's the only thing that works for me. I was up at 4 this morning with the worst of sinus trouble... a couple Aleve and a Tylenol PM and I was out till 10. Woke up better than ever. It could be the "extended release" too... supposed to last 12 hours. I'm sure you care.
