in Rogers Announces Abusive iPhone Rates in Canada on Fred BrunelYou are totally right. Also given all the forthcoming apps that will be published to the AppStore, you bandwidth consumption will surely be quite high. Unlimited bandwidth enables those application to run without you worrying about data consumption. And it also help the development community really used the iPhone as an Internet device.
Guess is Rogers is not understanding any of this. I think we need to call them and explain what this means beyond greed and profits... Seems the monopoly wins again...

in The Data GPS on A VCI think we are on the same page. Especially interesting is the capability to detect the current cell id from within the cell phone. I tested the service on the same provider (Rogers) using two different Windows Mobile 6 devices at the exact same spot. One was working the other was not. Why ?
The Google software was unable to obtain the current cell id to which the phone was connected in one of them. There is two variables at play (detect current cell id from phone, map it to known location in the area).
