The pirates have pieces all over the farm system. It would be stupid to move several, but it might be worth it for a Rios or something +. It would be insane to move the Top 5 prospects for something that isn't a sure thing with 3 or 4 years of control left.

Everyone but the Yankees, Red Sox, Dodgers and 1 or 2 others has a small window.

Stupid makes sense sometimes. Insane doesn't.

Re: Round Ice Cubes

Need my address?

Re: 15 Pages Using Compelling Images to Capture Leads | Web Marketing Today | Strategies for growth

Indeed. You know how I feel about that, so happy to see you're exploring it. You raise a valid point though. As I type this comment bemoaning the lack of true relationships in the industry, I could instead be emailing an affiliate manager :)

Re: Counting Clicks: Using Google Analytics to Monitor Affiliate Traffic

Thanks Chris!

Re: Counting Clicks: Using Google Analytics to Monitor Affiliate Traffic

You did a really nice job with that. I'm just double checking that it doesn't violate the Google TOS. If it doesn't, I'll be using it to test. Thanks Wilco.

Re: Counting Clicks: Using Google Analytics to Monitor Affiliate Traffic

Thank you VERY much, Nick. My initial thought is that there's no additional exposure or risk. If it makes you feel better about it though (we all want to sleep at night) you can cloak your links, use a URL shortening service, and come up with "codes" for your events as opposed to "Affiliate-Clickout" etc.

In fact, in many cases, I just use a merchants name as the Category. That way, I can see what I'm leaving on the table. If I send 400 clicks to merchant X with a potential commission value of $6680 (400 times the $16.70 in potential commissions), but I consistently only get $200 in commissions, I might want to explore other merchant options.

The math in this comment is made up, obviously, but I think you can get a feel for it if you play a bit.

Re: Counting Clicks: Using Google Analytics to Monitor Affiliate Traffic

Read over your FAQ, and you indicate you store the VISITORS GA cookie in a database. Is that accurate?

Re: Counting Clicks: Using Google Analytics to Monitor Affiliate Traffic

Wasn't familiar with that at all. Just to be clear, no personally identifiable information is being sent back to Google Analytics with that script, is there?

Re: Measuring Results: Red Cross Looks to Analytics to Improve Fundraising

I appreciate the mention Barry. Even so, they'd have to take salary back (wow... is this a hockey thread suddenly?) as they have to PROVE their 25% over the rev share next season.

The Buccos can't pull our normal "Let's run 1 overpaid off season acquisition and a bunch of $495k guys" anymore.

Re: Ryan Doumit Expects To Make Decision Today: MLB Rumors - MLBTradeRumors.com

Minnesota would be great. Then I could watch him here in Rochester on all his rehab assignments.

Re: Social Media’s Impending Flood of Customer Unlikes and Unfollows

Great post, and some wonderful insights. This in particular:

"The top two reasons consumers gave as to why they interact with companies in social networks were:1. Thanks for the visit and comment.

I personally have access to some farmland that's posted that's great for wading. But outside of that, I'm not so sure. You might want to have a look directly below the dam in Churchville. I'm not sure how much access is there.

Regarding Black Creek overall this year, it's been running VERY high, and VERY muddy, even before the heavy rains of the last 3 weeks or so. My father in law and I have been surprised, and have discussed possible causes for a while now. However, we haven't come up with anything.

Re: It’s great when a half-fast plan comes together

Nice Paul!
