Avoid hosts that use popular control panels such as cPanel and Plesk that require little effort to install, as it shows the inexperience of the company and their lack of knowledge when it comes to optimising their servers and dealing with clients. Try and find a host that uses its own panel software or a less well known option such as LxAdmin. A host using LxAdmin is far more likely to offer a stable, optimised hosting service due to the low resource usage of the panel itself and the high amount of customisation that is allowed, unlike with cPanel which uses masses of resources and tightly restricts the management of the server.
