What do you think of the first six? I am happy about the 3 from the first week, although I am hoping Anoop will be a wild card. THis week I was surprised that the unforgettable guy without confidence made it through-I don't remember his name-Simon is right (as usual). Like the red head girl, Allison. And I like/love Adam-he is a modern day Elvis!

I am not sure you would share my enthusiastic view of American Gladiators, especially because it is the semi finals and you would have missed all the stories up until this point. But yeah, it inspires me to work out harder than I usually do...

I like Twitch and Courtney...really I like them all...not the same as American Idol where you don't like certain people...I just enjoy watching them all dance...it makes me want to dance...hmmm...seeing a pattern here...AI makes me want to sing, Food Network makes me want to cook, Biggest loser makes me want to diet...I really am improving myself by watching TV!!

So, who is your fav girl and fav guy? I can't believe that I regularly watch this show, but it is very entertaining. BUT my favorite show right now? American Gladiator!! I can't watch it without jumping off the couch a time or two;)

We were wondering the same thing about Simon pushing Archelleta because he didn't want to curse Cook;) I am right with you on your thinking and over-thinking. I could care less if David A wins because I KNOW that Cook will be way more famous/longlasting/relevant than the 17 yr old Disney singer.

You are going way deep here, but here is a thought I had regarding AI and the decisions we make about liking one contestant over the other. The judges are always harping that it is a singing contest, however, by Ryan always saying, "Don't let your favorite one go home: VOTE!" The show is also telling us that likability and favoritism regardless of how the contestants did that week do matter.

So. yeah. THe fact that Taylor beat Katherine proves that the good don't always win over the ones that are liked.

I agree with you Jandy. Sayesha has been stepping it up, but I don't find her likable. I am with you on David A., too. He is very predictable and has become boring.

Who have you been voting for?

My thought is that when Jason goes, David A. is going to get ALL the little tweener votes. Was it your suggestion that David C. might be better off not winning, so he could have more freedom in what he does afterward?

I was more surprised than bummed, too. You are right about both Michael and Carly. It just seems that there are some girls who are not as good as Michael. Although, I did think Kristy did the best ever this last week. Keep singing country! Hope you are doing all right(this word happened to be Benjamin's 3rd grade spelling word last week-is alright not really a word?)

I agree with you, Jandy. I am all for David Cook and Brooke-she has so much appeal! I would get her cd, too. I feel the same way about David C as I did Chris Daughtry-I like him alot, but wouldn't buy his cd or go to his concert. He is one amazing performer though.

I am mostly happy that Danny went off.

We are predicting that many girls will go off before guys now that they are together.

I tried to comment yesterday on the guys but got booted off. John and I had to rewind to watch Jason's performance because we did not think it matched up to the judges praises either.

I appreciate your views on Jason. That makes sense to me. He does stand out as different and his comment that there was a lot more 'not music' stuff to do is telling. John made the comment that if he didn't have the dreads that he would just look like a big goof;) So I guess his hair is helping him...

I also agree with your comment about the judges' comments not being that helpful (same as last year). I personally like finding out that David Cook is a word nerd because I am. Obviously Simon is not-anyway being a word nerd is better than being freaked out about your food touching on your plate!!

I am with you except for Jason Castro-I don't get him. Yuck-long dreds, cluelessness or whatever...nope-don't like him.

Kind of funny that Simon said he likes the contestants to get back in his face and then gets all miffed and annoyed when they do-like David Cook saying that he has to convince the viewers, not him and Simon wigged out!!

I do not like Josiah. He was smart to fire the band since he crybabied the night away and didn't practice when he should have. It back fired BIG TIME!

I am very ready for Hollywood, but not the drama of it. I am anxious to see how the instrument thing plays out (I did not mean to make a pun) Will using instruments be seen as more superior than not? hmmm
