Sounds like fun. Lost My Way seems like it would be a fun one. Or Everybody Needs a Robot so that everyone could have their favorite robot in the video as well

Without a doubt I'm most excited about the upgraded camera. As a photographer who loves to take pictures with my iPhone this upgrade makes it such a more powerful camera.

in The personal touch in blogging. on The Sacred Project
It is a risk indeed and I know what your saying. And people are still sharing the personal side of them from time to time but it usually comes out in other places such as FriendFeed, Twitter and Facebook.

What got me going on this is that I've had a couple of friends in the recent past who have had major shifts in their lives and now their blogs are almost completely non personal and I miss that.

Keep doing what you do and thanks for linking to Feedbooks because I had never heard of it, but you certainly got my attention about them.

in Your Baby is on Flickr on Dave Delaney : Dave Made That
I take the same approach you do when it comes to this for the EXACT reason you raised.

I've talked about this before, but I don't understand why Flickr has not integrated a trackback ping similar to all blog platforms so that when a photos is embedded it would let you know. Sure, you wouldn't know when people download an image, but it would at least help with some of the notifications and I would LOVE to know if people use one of my CC licensed images, but it would also wake some people up to them needing to change their licenses.

Dave Delaney Great point C.C. I would love to see that too. It's too much trouble to go
into statistics to see if your photos are being used. You would think Flickr
could implement RSS, eh?

in 5 Crucial SXSW Tips on Dave Delaney : Dave Made That
Speaking of The Fray Cafe, I have not seen ANYTHING about it this year and I've been looking. I sure hope it is happening and want to put it on my calendar. It'll bump anything else so I want to get it there. Got any inside scoop?

Now I'm hungry for Migas, but somehow I don't think they serve it on the Acela train *laugh*

Dave Delaney I've heard nothing about The Fray, I just assumed it would be going down. I
*really* hope it's happening again this year too. I'll post here if I find
out about it.

Thanks C.C.

in Put a Face to Your Brand on Chris Brogan
What I love about this video even more then the fact that SHE is in it, is the fact that there are some "nope never heard of it" moments in there. Many brands would have had this edited down so it was full of "yes I love it" type of interviews, but because this faces the fact that not everyone knows any brand it makes it much more engaging and truthful.

It is amazing how adding even a little bit of reality to something make it much more effective then straight up marketing. Brands need to pay attention and embrace the fact that there will always be multiple voices and opinions of your brands.

And on a personal note, I had never heard of Bigelow until I met Justin and he mentioned he was doing some work for them. I was in a store and saw it and realized that was the brand he was talking about so I bought some. Oh wait, isn't that a trust economy?? *laugh*

in How To Win In a Recession Like a Ninja on Chris Brogan
What I have always loved about Chris is that he can boil down a life lesson into a very simple and DIRECT way so that anyone can understand it. The really hard part is for the person reading it to actually stop and put it into action.

Great post Penn and as always I learn something out of everything you create. Keep it up.

in Why marketers don’t understand the Amazon Kindle (or Kindle 2) on Christopher S. Penn's Awaken Your Superhero
I love my Kindle and am excited by the new version. Not as excited as I could be since it appears that Amazon hasn't updated all that much at the end of the day. I look forward to someone writing a stripped down e-mail client for it and a few other things.

Recently I had someone wanting to send me a printed manuscript for a book. The last thing I want is that much dead trees being sent through the mail to me. I authorized their e-mail address on my Kindle and them e-mail the PDF directly to me. I read the book on my next plane ride.

Months ago I put out a plea asking publishers to send me review copies to my Kindle instead of printed ones. I had only a SINGLE publisher agree to this. Guess who's books got read first?

in 11 Reasons to Take the Train on Chris Brogan
I take the train all the time to NYC and for all the reasons you outlined. In fact I'll do it later this week.

I also love being able to get up and walk around to stretch the legs. Sure, you can do it on a plane, but it is MUCH easier on the train. Plus there is something great about watching the world go by out the windows. You see some great little towns on the train.

Last year I took the train from Boston to Baltimore or a conference. It was the Acela so only a 6 hour trip and it was the best decision I made.

Life long train ride fan right here for sure.

Holy shit. I've been behind one reading blogs across the board and today wanted to make a point to catch up on all my friends blogs first and I came across this. Sure wasn't ready for what I read, but I'm glad to hear that you are doing ok and are on the mend.

My thoughts are with you. Take it easy and get better soon!

in Dear Facebook- Please Attempt to be Tasteful on Chris Brogan
What in the world is in your profile that is attracting those ads? *grin* I've never seen either of them.

But, also I'd give them both thumbs downs and say why from the drop down. One of them is "offensive". I've never chosen that option on anything I've seen ,but I sure hope someone on the other side is paying attention because I do click on those quite often for both good and bad.
