Waiting on #4/ANS - same boat. I debateddoing MC every day after work just in case. My husband said I wasn't allowed to bc I'm a monster when I study. I just keep praying I passed - I don't think I can go through it again....

Does anyone feel like this score release is worse than usual? Usually the releases are the day after the previous part that was already released, so I would have expected REG today. I am waiting on REG in MA - hoepfully my last one.

i am waiting for my REG score. my husband is threatening a divorce if i don't get it soon. i have been so out of it waiting for these scores - i think i would divorce myself if i could. i have been impossible to deal with. anyone else feel like this? REG is my last exam...

That is great! I can only pray I will react that way when something like that happens. Although I did have a good slide down a set of bleachers one time in high school that had me embarrassed, but I managed to laugh!

Great post, Maria:) I am the same way. For me, I know it is my pride in wanitng to stay in my comfort zone and only do the things I am good at!

Hi, Jared! This blog is so, so true. I appreciate your advice to repeatedly use their name. I will try that in the future. But I wanted to tell you a quick story right along these lines.


I take my kids clothes to a local consignment store, but only just started going there. I've only been in a handful of times, but the sales clerk (I think her name is April? Haha!) has remembered not only my name every time, but she asks about my kids. Now this woman sees plenty of people and their children daily. That's amazing to me. I will LEARN her name the next time I see her and I will start applying these principles. Thanks for the advice & I love your blog!

How great! I know Mike was pretty much by himself there last year, so that is GREAT he and Kevin will be together! Miek came to Turkey at the end fo the season last year after he was finished in Iran.

It wouldn't happen to be Mike Jones would it? Joe's teammate from last year, Mike Jones, is in Iran. We LOVE Mike! What a blessing it is to know someone going into the season:) Congrats on the job!

I found this post to be very interesting, although I already realized that the global support for music education isn't exactly at its' strongest. But, as a music major, where all we is sleep, eat, and breathe music, it is good to have this kind of a wake-up call from time to time to remind us that in the real world, it is going to be difficult for us as music educators to prove to some the importance of music. So thank you for the reminder!

As for the "if this" and "if that" posts from many of you, that really gets us nowhere.

I don't think anyone could have predicted or prevented this horrifying tragedy.

I think a gun in the hands of students is just the worst idea. What if other students in that class also had anger issues/ or mental problems? People owning more guns never seems to be a solution to gun violence, at least in the US. If we had stricter laws for gun purchasing he would have never been able to so easily aquire two very powerful firearms.

Jesus did NOT kill those who came to kill him. Now, I am not saying "don't defend yourself" ... It is just that this gun violence stuff just gets really overblown (HUGE pendelum swing). That first comment with the student news letter I thought was a joke: a classroom full of students with guns ready to shoot anyone menacing who enters their classroom? that is CRAZY and NOT part of any free, democratic society that I EVER want to live in.

I wanted to thank you for the Easter e-card! And, I love what you wrote here. We have a song that we sing over our boys every night that goes through various Bible heroes and prays that our boys will have the individual character traits of the various heroes.
