in The Most Important Question in Social Media Marketing on Social Media Marketing: Social Squared
So, one of the answers that I *insist* people doing a startup / website answer is "Why should I put my content on your site?". I find it's very effective in figuring out the true goal / value of a site / business. And if you can't answer it ... then why would people contribute to your site?

in RDFa Trials and Travails on Play the Web
Very cool -- looking forward to talking about this. I have a personal love/hate relationship with microformats that lean mainly toward hate, and I've always suspected that RDFa land had some of the answers. Sounds like we need to bootstrap some example vocabularies?

in Feedback Regarding Open Direction and Open Communities on Bwana.org
This is very complimentary to OpenSocial: no reason that Drupal can't be both an OpenSocial container as well as expose OpenSocial compatible widgets. See http://drupal.org/project/opensocial
Also, I can understand some of your feedback based on a core Drupal download. This is exactly what install profiles aim to solve: bundling together the full experience, configuration, UI, etc. so that it is configured out of the box, potentially with a short wizard to customize it for particular needs. I've been building install profiles for years, so I do know it's possible: the main need is a unified vision to meet a particular need. I think Chris can be a pretty good cat herder in this respect.
Everything else is details :P I'm looking forward to seeing this move....

Details are what can make or break this thing. I really want it to gain the traction it deserves and don't want to see trivial things hinder it. I realize that most of what I've stated has already been addressed in some form or fashion, but it's not common knowledge at this point. If I don't say, then who will? :)

in It’s the users, not the technology on Scobleizer
Dave: I never ever said "Twitter killer". Twitter *shouldn't* be killed...it would be GREAT to see them taking the lead (as they already have....) innovating on top of an open standard.
To me, XMPP is a real time version of RSS. That's the very shortest description I can make that also highlights the power and potential I think the protocol/standard itself has.
