Ooops, I miscommunicated, I meant the application's interface still looks a little "beta"ish - I am unsure if I like the fact that they replace the gMail logo.... hmm, great write-up indeed! :) Thanks for turning me onto something new and cool!

Wow Brent, great job on the website, I truly love the design!

I really love this idea and wish there were more design confrences / up-to-date meetup's for actually designers in Chicago. If you are ever wanting to push this into other states, I would love to contribute.

We had a call here at *can't disclose large corporate brand name* and it was a woman looking for information on our email newsletters and who designed them (me!)... Well she was looking for some info and I sent her off to thecreationshop, hopefully you get some refferal business!

The user interface just looks gorgeous. I am in the midst of developing an iPhone application and I must say, there is SO much you have to do before it's even ready to present to apple. Crazy stuff, great post though!

Haha! That's awesome! It's awesome because you and I had no clue of each other. It's just one of those simple things that people are bound to do the same thing. The whole lighter color .com is pretty popular and works very well (see abriefmessage.com) -- I don't think ours looks that similar.... I actually settled with that logo... Because at the redesign time I just couldn't figure out what to do and just settled with the Freight font family.
I don't think you ripped me and I don't think I ripped you... It's too minute (pronounced mi-noot) to call a rip. It's not like our site designs are similar.. haha!

Very cool way to make a search. There are some real weird quirks people use to make Tumblr a more community based service. It is very interesting.

I think this was a really cool idea. Something so simple and easy to execute, I love those types of projects. Well done, I think overall you probably had fun doing it. Don't know if this question was answered above. But did you do the javascript yourself or find a resource and begin working from it?

Honestly the only good about pownce is that it has the potential to BECOME a facebook killer. Ever since facebook applications started, facebook has gotten very much so cluttered from its original idea. Making it quite similar to its nemesis, myspace.

I think Kevin's idea behind pownce was to give a simplistic design to a not so simplistic idea (status' change quite often).

I do believe that Kevin has a great idea, since his initial thought was to make a website where people could "transfer a file from one cube to the other" and so forth.

While I give full credit towards the hard workers putting together facebook applications (like the pownce application), I feel as if it only contributes to the now "clutter" that the twitter apps and other apps add.

It is getting old having 100 accounts of social network usernames scattered accross the internet and having each website trying to link to one another. There is a change in the atmosphere, that is for certain.

IF its such a free service why have invite only? Open it up to the public or don't do it at all. Like Kevin Rose can't fund this obviously already successful service.

Really great podcast. I think Antonio really does a great job at showing that Grid Layout isn't just a fad, which many people assume is the case. Also showing that there are plenty of resources available to help you learn this very old rule of design. We discussed the tropicana rebrand on Hell Yeah Dude as well, got some really amazing comments! Great job guys.

Starbursts? That's really awesome, I think the hard part about pitching or working with Starbursts is that, I can't physically cannot remember the last time they had a variation in their packaging. But I think that opens up so many doors. Personally, if I saw any one of the above pieces of art on a Starbursts package or for material, I would instantly grab it up!
