i'm glad you found your way to zecco! we think it's going to be really powerful to bring the transparency of a social network to the online investing world. and specialized social networks like the ones you mention here are definitely the future.

if you want, look me up on zecco, i'm tonyleachsf.

Congrats! Love the idea, can't wait to see how it evolves. My new favorite news source - Campell's joining the ranks of Stewart and Colbert, in my opinion.

By the way... when you click "embed," you see a Wallstrip with Julie Alexandria image... Just a heads up to help work out some small kinks.

Thanks for the post guys! We're excited to have Feser on the Zecco team. One note though - you might want to check the spelling of his last name in the title here...

in Binary Demand for Copyrighted Goods on The Technology Liberation Front
Nope - no "heresy" here. It's no big deal! There's lots of things people only want 0 or 1 of, if you look at it the right way. And having two copies of a book or CD is perfectly logical. Take, for instance, the Bible. Or Shakespeare. Or, in my case, Kind of Blue by Miles Davis.

Also - supply and demand works in aggregate, across society as a whole. So as price declines, it's society that demands more. It's not a surprise for that to break down at an individual level. Some might say that it's the basis of economics.

Anyway - I just don't see the point here. Maybe it's just lost on me. Sorry.

in Amazon Unbox Movies… On TiVo?! on Zatz Not Funny!
These sorts of things always sound like a good idea up front - especially if Amazon would let you download the movies directly to your TiVo. But it sounds more like you would have to download a movie using Unbox and then transfer it to the TiVo. I tried Unbox out and wasn't impressed with the quality, selection, or overall experience when I hooked my laptop up to my HDTV. Neither was anyone else.

I don't think this will go anywhere (sorry, Zatz). I'll take a Netflix set-top instead, or a Mac iTV.
