I believe that I have another month or month and a half until my software expires. I will have to look. Actually, I don't plan on looking and if I have to I'm going to be a little agitated because that will mean only one thing.

in CPA Exam Score Release Predictions - April/May 2009 Window - Wave 2 on CPA Exam Blog
I just received a survey from InterEd, Inc which supposedly performs evaluations for Becker. I am probably reading WAY too much into this but why would they be sending me a survey on the day I am supposed to receive my score? I have passed the three previous sections and am awaiting my REG score which is not yet available. Just seems a little weird. Anyone else receive this?

in CPA Exam Score Release Predictions - April/May 2009 Window - Wave 2 on CPA Exam Blog
Mag,
Congrats, I'm hoping my REG experience ends the way yours did. I took the test on the 20th and felt like I bombed it after being slammed on the first simulation on a combination of 2 areas that Becker lightly touched through MC's but presented no sims on. In addition, I heard and read that most people never received questions on these two items. I was able to complete the memo and research tab. But I know I lost points on the actual calcs. The second sim seemed better, however I was mentally exhausted and frustrated by the first sim.
As for the MC's, each sim definitely got harder, the first took me 20 minutes, the second and 3rd took 35 and 40 minutes. So, who knows. It's my last exam and hoping this is over.

Good advice. I follow it pretty good. I am taking FAR for the second time this morning. I hope I do good. It's hard to be super-optimistic when I have fallen short so many times.

in Head and Shoulders Now Forms on SP500 with Rising Wedge Break on Afraid to Trade Blog
People looking for a head and shoulders pattern are simply deluding themselves given the fact that even if it occurs, the "neckline" is so far away from here that it renders such a view as absurdly untradeable.

And yet another push in the final 20 minutes of trading challenges the Bears and continues the case for the Bulls. A lot of EWT followers have been waiting for this Diagonal to end, but in doing so they have really felt "handcuffed" and have been unable to capitalize on this huge bid in the market and bull move of the past 7 weeks.
Probably time for a correction, but this move has nonetheless been WAY MORE powerful than most have thought.
Good Luck Trading!

This market continues to surge and the ROTATION that is going on is amazingly strong. The move up from today's 1:55Pm low at 85.37 SPY has been impressive to say the least!!!

I think it's important for anyone analyzing an index to look at a longer term chart, and not just a "snapshot" in time.

in Bearish Rising Wedge in the SP500? on Afraid to Trade Blog
Hi Corey, also noticed the wedge forming on the S&P here. I've heard some compare this to the 1982 melt up, although I am not convinced of that. Interesting thing to note about 1982 was how we bottomed out, formed a bearish wedge, eventually taking that wedge out with a move UP and OUT, esentially turning that wedge into support. Just something to keep in mind... a move up and out surely would have the bears on the run, although I still think we have downside left in this bear.

in SP 500 Hourly Structure Year to Date on Afraid to Trade Blog
My guess is that we should see the small 5th wave unfold April 1st ( it probably started in the sell-off of late Tuesday ) and will most likely target support at the previous 4th wave and a fib retracement of .382 at 769.50

The labeling of your Wave 5 on this diagonal is wrong. It occurred a touch earlier than you have labeled it, and the new high up to 833 SPX is actually a "B" wave with a 1-2-3-4 sequence down "C" thus far ( 3/31/09 ).

in Elliott Wave Update - Possible Count for March 26 on Afraid to Trade Blog
Corey,
My hourly count has (a) where you have labeled Wave 3 in the move up off the 666 SPX low. I then have (i), then (ii) where you have labeled the word “support” on your chart, with (iii) where your Wave 5 is.
(iv) was Friday’s action and we should see one more push up to complete this DIAGONAL.

Corey,
It certainly appears as though we just saw an (A) wave down from roughly 821 in the ES on Wednesday's close into this morning's second low (after the opening) around 805.50 before heading up for the late morning in an a-b-c (B), before selling off the entire rest of the late-afternoon in a (C) wave that took out the opening lows of the day.
Wave 4 is all the way back down around 792.50
Hmmmm...

SPX falls all the way back down to 806 today, just a few handles away from the break-out level that got the rally going on Monday after 2:30pm. Wonder if we'll get a "failure" here and still have a 5 to go on the downside.

in Album Review: Songs From The Sparkle Lounge on Consequence of Sound
While i cant claim to be a hardcore leppard fan, i do know a solid rock album when i hear one. Im 33 years old and remember hearing deff leppard mentioned numerous times as a kid growing up in the eighties. So i purchased their 2cd greatest hits which most of you already know showcases their arguably greatest stuff from the 80s and some cruelly underrated stuff from the 90s and onwards, Awesome.Makes me wish i could have been a teenager in the 80s instead of the turgid grungy 90s, but thats life i guess. To be honest, i cant quite comprehend for the life of me why people do not seem to like this album. is it their best work, no possibly not. Does it scale the dizzy heights of their earlier work, yes it occasionally does actually.Go, and hallucinate being prime examples. The song love[And its piano counterpart] sound like deff leppard immitating queen in their heyday. Believe me when i say its no bad thing. What you are left with is one solid balls to the floor rock album which deserves to sit along any of their albums. In an era of deppresingly crap indie bands and reality tv rejects claiming to be the saviours of english music, its good to see proper musicians remind us that all is not lost.So do yourselves a favour and get this album and shove the cd into your car, hi fi, whatever and let deff leppard rock your world and be bloody grateful.
