Bad. Bad meaning bad and NOT bad meaning good. Also in the vein of Dane Cook for me - Sarah Silverman, Sacha Baron Cohen, and (mostly) Chelsea Handler.

Re: Supergirlwonder & Smartbrother DYNAMIC DUO

You thought it was funny? It has certainly been a pleasure getting to know you - take care of you. There's only one.

Re: project.girl - Currently wishing for:

OMG - tumbler has comments. That might be what I needed to convert. I think the one good thing about those Land's End's pants is that they look cute OUTSIDE of the gym, so they might be worth spring for.

Re: project.girl - Breakfast of Champions

A boiled egg and two slices of turkey bacon which sounds like - UMMM what, not enough, but it's really filling. Pre-surgery I got two slices of bacon, 1 whole egg and then one white from a boiled egg so that might be better for you.

Also, oatmeal. I love that stuff and there's a recipe on this here old internet for slow cooker oatmeal that might be handy because you can put it on and sleep your face off.

AND, when I'm being lazy - I eat a luna bar or have a protein shake (unjury.com) made with skim or soy milk because I kind of hate milk straight up. I love that you are doing this - it's really inspiring.

Re: project.girl - Breakfast of Champions

I just thought of something else. QUICHE - it's perfect because it reheats so well. I sometimes throw one together on Sunday and we can eat it for the week, sometimes with a scoop of hummus on a mini pita or sometimes with fresh chopped tomatoes and chives. Okay, I'm done babbling now.

Re: project.girl - Note to self

Don't beat yourself up. Definitely check yourself, but don't whip your own ass. My philosophy is this, do better next time. I mean, I know that's kind of a slippery slope but it's irrational to believe that with a lifetime of issues related to food that all of a sudden you will be able to resist temptation. You're doing so good!

Re: project.girl - Today

Mel - you're doing so good and being so brave about sharing this. And even if I were skinny, my biggest hurdle would be money. I also really resent the notion that only fat people have body issues. I really don't know anyone man or woman who doesn't have something that they would change about themselves if they could.

Re: Florida Evans Syndrome

I feel like you don't have to be a major contributor if that's the role you and yours have carved out, but you should know how and be able to take care of yourself.

Re: Wordless Wednesday: Do You Still Believe?

He wasn't who I really wanted to run originally but I think I've gotten behind him and stayed behind him.
