Your words are so true. Their back catalogue, the albums you have mentioned are by far their strongest and most original in sound and thought. I find myself revisiting them often, each time sounding new and fresh. And yes, "Don't You Forget About Me" is a good pop song, but imho does not represent what the band really is about.
