No, not too soon. Almost too late! This is a great story that needs to be told. I like Penn in this. And I'm liking Penn, in general, a lot more since his very gracious acceptance speech at the Oscars.

Aleric Gracious?? He called everyone who voted against Prop 8 homophobes and basically stated that the majority doesn't matter all that matters is what a select few think is right.

Marvel execs have stated they want to make films for all audiences, PG or PG-13. So any Punisher films will necessarily be farmed out to other studios like Lion's Gate. Can you imagine having ANY interest in a PG-13 Punisher??? NOT!!!

Ray Stevenson is going to OWN this role. I only hope he feels like making more of them.

No. Thomas Jane threw a hissy fit because Lion's Gate wouldn't go along with Jane's ideas for the script.

When push came to shove, they let Jane go and REPLACED HIM IN A NEW YORK MINUTE.

And Jane was NOT a Punisher fan, having never read a Punisher comic until he was cast in the film.

Jeeze, there's a lot of whining on this site. If you want to really know what's going on with this film, go to the IMDB message board for Punisher: War Zone and read the thread "Punisher War Zone FAQs for Newcomers" written by Norse Sage.

Marvel is finally going to get this character right. And Ray Stevenson is a serious actor committed to realising Frank Castle/The Punisher.

It's going to be hot!

And the pics this site is calling "new" are all months old.
