in I Smell a Rat on Frank
Remember I told you I had to take down my bird feeder for the same reason. I've eliminated the rodents but now our area is under attack from the Japanese beetle which is stripping the leaves off much of the shrubs, and the emerald ash borer which is wiping out the Ash trees, and of course my best tree is an ash.

in When I Was a Kid I Walked to School on Frank
Frank,

Like you I walked to school every day by myself, rode my bike to the other side of town to be with friends, and climbed to the top of every tree in my neighborhood. What I remember most was how us kids in the area would get together on our own and play baseball. No parents ever had to arrange anything for us.

I was reading an article about how parents have started calling in to where there children work, and complaining to the manager if they get a less than stellar performance review. Where does it end? let them grow up.

in It’s a Bird…Maybe Not on Frank
Frank,

Had the same issue one winter when I opened the old grill and found that three field mice had moved in. With the vacant land behind our house I had to take down the bird feeder as it attracted those little critters.

in Squirrels in the Attic on Frank
One of my neighbors just had a raccoon rip through his roof and get in the attic. Lots of damage and clean up.

Great blog from Kris. How funny that he roomed with pro wrestler Kane in school. Very true though that so many of us work at jobs unrelated to our degree.

I love this posting. Too bad where I work we have the standard format that everyone has to follow. No creativity allowed.

in Punctuality on KnowHR Blog
I feel the lost productivity from late starting meetings can't be ignored. At the company I work for the vast majority of our engineering meetings run late or don't finish the agenda causing us to hold additional meetings. Over my many years at this employer I have never seen anyone held to the fire for being chronically late. From my experience I would not hire someone that constantly arrives late.
