in Netcraft Toolbar: Elegant Host Detection on Plagiarism Today
I tried the plugin and was surprised when I saw that one of my sites was first seen in April 2009 :) . It's just March...

in Craziest Captchas on the Web on The16Art
That URL doesn't work any longer.
In my experience the best captcha is that which cannot be entered into the text box. Plenty of free directories use this kind of crap; captcha contains 6-7 characters, but input fields are configured to accept max. 5 characters.

in Seven steps and secrets on how to become a millionaire and a rich person on BusinessAccent.com: Man, mind, marketing, money and manners
You also need luck. Luck is necessary in order to succeed. Luckiness is something what's a matter of "right time, right place". The right ideas don't come every day... Lucky are people who get the ideas and if they can understand them. Understanding is very important... You can get the idea, but if you don't know how to realize it, it's uselss.

in Google Asking AdSense Publishers To Change Site Privacy Policy on Techie Buzz
I am wondering if interest based advertising brings more revenue to the AdSense publishers. In fact, it should as ads should be more targeted.
In my opinion it's weird that Google asks people to update privacy policies on their websites... However, if it cannot be done otherwise, then I agree. Just imagine that that privacy policy addition would be shown within ads :) ....
I updated privacy policies on most of my websites already.

in Work At Home Blog Income-Feb 2009 on Work From Home Business Blog
Just to give you a tip... It isn't wise to mention that your blog makes money via TLA or any other sell-links program. You can get caught by Google and your blog won't carry any link juice any more. This can result in lower income from these activities.
I don't sell links myself, but I wouldn't tell others that I do so if I were you :) .

@Jan the fish: Thanks. You're right. I did think about this and I may have to change the names soon.

in Things you should know about affiliate marketing on Affiliates World Affiliate Marketing Blog
Exactly. If you compare CPC and affiliate, then the CPC ads are much more progressive than affiliate campaigns.
I am personally making a few bucks daily with amazon, but it can't be compared to revenue from AdSense!
Basically, I added the amazon stuff just because I felt that many of my visitors would like to get links to products.
My average conversion rate is less than 1%. It's pathetic :) .

in Get Unique Articles For Your Affiliate Website on Affiliates World Affiliate Marketing Blog
I prefer content from writers. Long time ago I invested several hundreds of dollars into articles which are making daily income right now.
Sorry for this point of view, but this is how I do it. Moreover, later I found a few guys who are providing me articles at no cost. They're experts at the area and they enjoy having their names and articles on a site with thousands of daily visits.

in Fighting Evil | BPWrap on BPWrap
As I mentioned in my previous post, the major part of problems apply to Microsoft software only.
For instance, my linux suse 10.1 has no problems with potential spyware, malware or whatever. Even when I had the Win OS, I used the Opera browser which is much safer than MIE in general.
I have used to open any web page without being worried about potential malware even when I ran under Windows. But of course, I had a firewall and antivirus (I had to remind the name of such app right now!) installed on my PC.
With Linux you need a firewall only.

in Internet Explorer Dilemmas on BPWrap
The question could be "Why should I use the Win OS?" as well. If you run under Linux, then there is no fear from MIE.
OK, so let's imagine that no-one uses the Win OS. Then there would be no MIE, and many cross-browser compatibility problems would disappear. As just one example I'd like to point videos. Browsers (with proper plugins) other than MIE will show them naturally with proper XHTML coding. Again, MIE has troubles with valid coding here. Why? Because of Microsoft.

in Google following meta redirects on Andy Beard - Internet Business Systems Discussion
My own experiences with meta redirect weren't the best. I used it about 3 months ago for many of my articles. You know, I messed things with dynamic links in the beginning and various URLs were pointing to same content.
So I set-up the meta redirect. After a couple of weeks I noticed worse positions of every aggrieved article. After set-up of 301 redirect the positions are back and are improving in addition.
I just want to say that you never know how Google treats anything unless you're Google engineer :) .
