If I ever do need the money for an emergency, what good would it be if I had to ETF the money from emigrant/ING to another account and then wait 3-5 days for the transfer to clear. Add to this the fact that GMAC offers the same or higher interest rate and it's a no brainer (to me anyway).

Re: Flexo’s MBA: Still In Progress

Brittany, you can always enroll in another online program. I'm currently taking classes at Drexel (philadelphia) and everything is online. The classes are the same as the campus classes and the degree received is the same. Many U.S. colleges/universities offer this type of thing. It saves a ton of commute time ans in my opinion, is worth it. My company pays for every cent of the degree, which is why I decided to enroll.

Re: I don't care if Roger Clemens is lying (Scripting News)

You just noticed this about the MSM?

Re: How to get Twitter to declare your love (Scripting News)

@davewiner <3

Re: Noriega: Not Just the Military Dictator of Panama Anymore

riiiiight. you dont like him but you write about him and try to sneak in witty (NOT!) comments... all for the sake of website traffic. shows much of your character.

Re: Some programmer dude says I'm his hero

How could this dude miss the obvious comparison to Walt Disney...you even own the same friggin company now.

Re: ZumoDrive is going to change EVERYTHING

NO, we are NOT DONE until we have a solution that is subpoena-proof.

Re: Top 10 Reasons to Avoid the SimpleDB Hype

@jackson - "And if you are making something for < 100,000 users, you really probably ought to just stop now, shouldn’t you?"

the answer you troll for is "Nope". in fact, i'd say just the opposite. if you know before you start that your app will need upwards of a hundred thousands users to be useful to its audience, "you really probably [sic] ought to just stop now."

Re: Goldman Sachs: "Engineering Every Major Market Manipulation Since The Great Depression"

How about a link to the RS url instead of this unreadable scribd crap?

Re: Will Golden Compass Sequels The Subtle Knife and The Amber Spyglass Be Greenlit?

I watched the movie three times. The special effects and action are excellent and technically difficult. That's how they won an academy award.

I agree the marketing for TGC was poor stateside. They have to figure out how it was advertised overseas and repeat that here.

Re: WALL-E Easter Eggs

@Watts - I think Dave's point is right on -- one of Willard's lines when he's staying in front of the podium is "stay the course" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stay_the_course)

Re: Muslims Kill Korean Christian

You know, this God you Christians been praying to, he apparently sides with the Taliban, or doesn't give a two craps about you guys.

Some Koreans may be confortable abandoning the religion of their ancient ancestors to worship the white man's God, but in Islam, apostates can be put to death. Sending missionaries to these places and trying to convert ppl is only going to get the ppl killed.

The world has to wake up and stop arguing over who's imaginary friend is more "real." Enough already. Christian churches constantly send missionaries to dangerous places, where the ppl are poor and desperate. It's like a badge of honor for them. The religious leaders exploit the young and eager to please. "See, go into a third world, war tore area, help the poor, serve God!" And while the sheepie are off risking their lives, the church gets publicity and more attention, and thus, more membership and more donations. God will protect us/reward us...well, not this time.

Re: How To Ask A Girl Out (In A Round About Way)

You've made Collegehumor.
