I moved my entire emergency fund from Emigrant to GMAC for the mere fact that they offer a debit card and free checks. If I ever do need the money for an emergency, what good would it be if I had to ETF the money from emigrant/ING to another account and then wait 3-5 days for the transfer to clear. Add to this the fact that GMAC offers the same or higher interest rate and it's a no brainer (to me anyway).

Brittany, you can always enroll in another online program. I'm currently taking classes at Drexel (philadelphia) and everything is online. The classes are the same as the campus classes and the degree received is the same. Many U.S. colleges/universities offer this type of thing. It saves a ton of commute time ans in my opinion, is worth it. My company pays for every cent of the degree, which is why I decided to enroll.

I watched the movie three times. The special effects and action are excellent and technically difficult. That's how they won an academy award.

I agree the marketing for TGC was poor stateside. They have to figure out how it was advertised overseas and repeat that here.

You know, this God you Christians been praying to, he apparently sides with the Taliban, or doesn't give a two craps about you guys.

Some Koreans may be confortable abandoning the religion of their ancient ancestors to worship the white man's God, but in Islam, apostates can be put to death. Sending missionaries to these places and trying to convert ppl is only going to get the ppl killed.

The world has to wake up and stop arguing over who's imaginary friend is more "real." Enough already. Christian churches constantly send missionaries to dangerous places, where the ppl are poor and desperate. It's like a badge of honor for them. The religious leaders exploit the young and eager to please. "See, go into a third world, war tore area, help the poor, serve God!" And while the sheepie are off risking their lives, the church gets publicity and more attention, and thus, more membership and more donations. God will protect us/reward us...well, not this time.
