I must still be in my rebellious teenage years because I don't like being told what to do. If I want to subscribe, then I will. Kind of a turnoff for me. However, this is definitely a way to engage serious readers, but what is wrong with casual readers? Why would you want to prevent the straggler from reading your "stuff"?

Is there a way to edit the way the widget displays, rearrange or center the links? also the icons don't show?

no change. I uploaded the images from the image folder directly into the followme directory...no change...can't display anything but box?

WOW? My son-in-law is addicted. In fact he traded a signup to my reader for my blog if I signed up for something on WOW. I was going to tell you if you gave twitter a chance you would grow to like it but with the size of your following, I would say it probably isn't going to happen any day soon. I have made a few friends on twitter and have an open tweet available all day long..btw - just started following you :)

Actually, I WAS totally confused?? I guess I should have read all the comments as well as the post, often, I have all I can do to read the post (time wise) never mind all the comments. The comments make this conversation more clear. I guess I won't make that mistake again!

I have some of these plugins and liked a couple more. The counterize II plugin says compatible to 2.5, does it cause any problems or even work with the latest wordpress? great list.

Thanks for the post Chris. Very encouraging. Everytime I get a little discouraged, I read posts like this from the "big guys and gals" and it keeps me going. That and the fact that I LOVE blogging and I don't want to give up! :)
