Hopefully he can recover. All this nonsense about Taylor needs to stop. Eduarado, the guy who was the victim, has said it was an unfortunate accident and said Taylor visited him in the hospital and that he accepts his apology. If Eduardo, the guy who this happened to, says its an accident...then its an accident. Im not gonna listen to what everyone thinks happened sitting in front of their TVs. He was there, he was the victim, he has more perception than anyone else on this incident, and for me his word is final.

Re: Thierry *King* Henry ~ Mr.Brightside

best out of the 3 so far. Hes been AWESOME. I was surprised that Liverpool were the only ones who went after him last summer when he became available from Atletico, smart move there. And then I never understood why critics thought hed fail. I may be an Arsenal supporter, but we are all still fans of football and great footballers; and Fernando Torres is a special footballer and I knew he would be dangerous this year. His speed, his control, his touch, everything was mesmerizing. He is easily the best striker in the world. I know that's a bold statement, but his record doesn't lie.

Re: Thierry Henry - Return

Yea Itd be great to have Henry back at Arsenal. But remember what was said earlier? He was too imposing a figure for the other guys to step up and assume responsibility. He left and it forced Cesc, Adebayor, Eduardo, Bendtner, Walcott, and the rest to step up their game, and we achieved more success for it. If he were to come back, would it be a good thing? Its tough to say. Our future lies with Walcott, RVP having an injury-free season (please!!!), Adebayor continuing his form, and the continuing rise of Cesc Fabregas. Im not sure if Henry's return would promote their continued success or hamper it.

Re: Thierry Henry - Return

yes hes a legend, no question.

Re: Thierry Henry - Return
I would say Arsenal would more likely be in Mosco by now, if Henry stayed.
But in the long run, it is good to have the young players assume more responsibilities during the past season.
The players, in the first months of the season, came out and said Henry's leaving enabled them to open up. The Champions League final this year was an incredible match, definitely one for the ages. Ya, there were some that expected more, but if you actually watched the game, any one with common sense would know that it was football @ it's finest, with two clubs who truly earned and rightly deserved to be there. Ya, it had a bit of a slow start, but we also didn't have to wait very long to see world class football. Cristiano's goal was excellent, but credit to Scholes/Brown for their exceptional 1-2 passing. But Cristiano's goal is a perfect metaphor for his play & performance, especially this season ... up & beyond the competition. Yes, many love to hate ... but whether you love or hate him, he's pretty much achieved the HIGHEST honours in the football world, that many great players still dream and fantasize over. He was the key to winning the league not only last year, but definitely this year. And he was suspended in the early goings of this season, which was by far the worse times for ManU. But as soon as he returned, he put those God-given talents to work, and just steam-rolled his opponents. Went on a scoring rampage. For a few games, he was averaging braces (2 goals). But he pretty much scored in every game, but definitely in the important games, such as in the CL. But anyhow, won the league, won the golden boot (With 42 goals...almost double from last year (25 goals), and he was head to head with Drogba for top scorer for most of last season, and ended up finishing 2nd or 3rd last season for goals) for not only the premier league (and many of those 42 goals were nothing but breathetaking ... free-kick against Portsmouth, anyone? Back-Heel against Aston Villa? Flying Header against Roma? And the list goes on...), but the top football experts also say for the entire football world for this season, in terms of club football. And also the leading scorer for the CL (8 goals). Furthermore, was voted by his OWN premier league colleagues as the PLAYER OF THE YEAR ... for TWO years straight. Last person to do that was Thierry Henry, if I'm not mistaken, but the difference is Henry accomplished that, but did not win the coveted CL .... but Cristiano did. And he's only 23.
Yes yes best player no doubt. no arguments there. But Ive seen better matches. One for the ages? Get outta here. It was a decent game, but please dont say it was fantastic or awesome.

Re: C.Ronaldo: From a Boy to a Legend

Good compilation, lets see what he can do in Euro 08 now, should be verrry interesting.

Re: Portugal 2 - 0 Turkey

If he keeps up his form, hell definitely join the legends. You didn't watch it correctly, even Andy Gray appologised for his mistake you douchebag.and he didn't lose the ball he tripped him you have to get your eyes checked up dude
ok, calm down whiner. hes still a bleeding prima donna nancyboy. flailing his arms around after the klose goal when hes the guy who shoulda been markin him. ok, he messed up. but dont look at your teammates like its their fault. dont get me wrong, i liked ronaldo. but this game, i saw how much the fame and success is getting to his head and his ego is out of order.

Re: Euro 2008 Quarter-finals - Portugal v Germany

OK, I dont know what exactly happened with ronaldo, but thats not important. Germany won. Portugal didnt. They will now have to wait for Mourinho to come to Portugal in the future, then they will have a real chance. As fro Germany, can they go all the way now?

Re: Netherlands v Russia

Arshavin put up the best individual performance in this tournament during that match. He was BRILLIANT. I could not believe how good he was. Ive seen him a few times for Zenit and in some of Russia's qualifiers, no doubt he was a very good player. But what he did tonight was simply extraordinary. It was magnificent! He was all over the place. Not sure what happened to Holland, guess they never got a spark to spur them on. Its unfortunate, they were a very good side and I enjoyed watching them. Russia have been very good the last couple of matches now. I hope they play just as well in the semifinals, great team to watch too.

Re: Spain v Italy

I was sitting there going 'please, for once just win the penalties and get to the semis!' fabregas!!!!!! loved it. russia should provide a good game for the semis, looking forward to it.

Re: Arsenal: So Close - Cl 07/08

Aaaaaahhhhhh, so painful to watch the end.....so cruel!
