Eduardo is a very talented player. Hopefully he can recover. All this nonsense about Taylor needs to stop. Eduarado, the guy who was the victim, has said it was an unfortunate accident and said Taylor visited him in the hospital and that he accepts his apology. If Eduardo, the guy who this happened to, says its an accident...then its an accident. Im not gonna listen to what everyone thinks happened sitting in front of their TVs. He was there, he was the victim, he has more perception than anyone else on this incident, and for me his word is final.

Yea, I agree with Josh. This guy is NOT the best in the world. He is done. There are so many players palying so much better than him right now...Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka, Messi, Ribery, Ibrahimovic to name a few.

Couldnt believe people thought this guy was gonna be one of the best players of all time, give me a break. His collapse started in World Cup 06 and hes been falling ever since.

Im an Arsenal supporter, but Torres deserves all the credit in the world for what hes done this season. Hes been AWESOME. I was surprised that Liverpool were the only ones who went after him last summer when he became available from Atletico, smart move there. And then I never understood why critics thought hed fail. I may be an Arsenal supporter, but we are all still fans of football and great footballers; and Fernando Torres is a special footballer and I knew he would be dangerous this year. His speed, his control, his touch, everything was mesmerizing. He is easily the best striker in the world. I know that's a bold statement, but his record doesn't lie.

Yea Itd be great to have Henry back at Arsenal. But remember what was said earlier? He was too imposing a figure for the other guys to step up and assume responsibility. He left and it forced Cesc, Adebayor, Eduardo, Bendtner, Walcott, and the rest to step up their game, and we achieved more success for it. If he were to come back, would it be a good thing? Its tough to say. Our future lies with Walcott, RVP having an injury-free season (please!!!), Adebayor continuing his form, and the continuing rise of Cesc Fabregas. Im not sure if Henry's return would promote their continued success or hamper it.

The players, in the first months of the season, came out and said Henry's leaving enabled them to open up. Where as with him, he was always imposing himself and shouting for the ball when he wasnt even in a good position. henry even said his leaving the club enabled them to play better. Arsenal would be in the final if the refs weren't *******, end of story. But thats how it goes

First half was excellent. rest of the game was pretty boring (yea a few good moments, but overall nothing incredible). united wins the penalties. eh it was better than last years final, but i thought the game had more potential. but then again it was raining like insane. so cangrats to united, time for euro 2008. only reason youre all going insane now is because you have nobody in euro. you can thank the fa for that.

Last person to do that was Thierry Henry, if I'm not mistaken, but the difference is Henry accomplished that, but did not win the coveted CL .... but Cristiano did. And he's only 23.[/quote]

If he keeps up his form, hell definitely join the legends. But greatest of all time? It is possible for him to do so, but he will have to play consistently well throughout his career, and he cant get complacent. Im not saying it isnt possible, but he has many many years ahead of him and he will have to deliver regularly as Maradona, Zidane, and Pele did.

Nice win for Portugal, great show. Maintain possession and build the attack and open the game up. Turkey had possession, but didnt do anything with it, a shame for them.

UNbelievable! I dont think anyone expected this scoreline! What Holland did today was ridicuous, against the world champions??? Never saw this coming. Total Football at its best! I am at a loss for words, I am so glad I saw this match live, best match of the tournament so far. Italy had a few chances, but just wasnt their day. Well see what they can do in the next match, but congrats to the Dutch. and Wesley Sneijder, man, what a way to celebrate yor birthday!

By the way, FYI, v Nistelrooy was not offsides.
A FIFA rule indicates that if a player (pannucci) goes out of bounds, he is still an active player, and therefore would still be considered in play. The goal was legal. Right call. Check it again, Pannucci lies down out of bounds keeping van nistelrooy onside.

I saw the match. Rewinded that incident over and over. They even played it in slow motion. Simply loses the ball and falls over. Looks around. No one is looking. Acts as if hes writhing in pain. Completely disgraceful for someone of his ability and skill level. COMPLETELY! Andy Gray even agreed with me. I used to love watching Ronaldo play. But THAT, that is a joke and a disgrace to the game of football. Screw him.

GD, maybe they showed a different angle where ever it is you saw it. But they showed us only one angle of the incident and it looked like he playacted. If you have a link to the incident from an angle where it shows that German defender stepping on his foot, please allow me to see it. I saw German player pass by, but from my angle it didnt look like Ronaldo's foot was stepped on. Thanks.

Germany beat them in the air. Andy Gray made a note of this before the match began. He mentioned the fact that the Portuguese play beautiful football, but when things get tough and gritty, do they have what it takes to grind one out? I thought both sides played well enough, but Germany knicked it in the end.

Arshavin put up the best individual performance in this tournament during that match. He was BRILLIANT. I could not believe how good he was. Ive seen him a few times for Zenit and in some of Russia's qualifiers, no doubt he was a very good player. But what he did tonight was simply extraordinary. It was magnificent! He was all over the place. Not sure what happened to Holland, guess they never got a spark to spur them on. Its unfortunate, they were a very good side and I enjoyed watching them. Russia have been very good the last couple of matches now. I hope they play just as well in the semifinals, great team to watch too.
