in What I have learnt by not posting for a month on Pingable
From my first job, I never earned less than $100,000 a year (pre-internet days). I had a web site up in 1996 which while not a pioneer, I was early in the game. For whatever this is worth to you:
1. you can never make the kind of money on-line that you can off-line
2. people buy emotionally and sitting in front of someone, you can get them to hand you a MUCH larger check (e.g. $1 million) than they will ever "hand you" on line
3. there are NO barriers to entry on-line--everyone does the same things and any advantage you have is known by everyone in 30 days and your advantage disappears
The numbers of people living very high from their off-line earnings is enormous. The number of people living high from on-line activities is few.

in New media has gotten marketing confused on Christopher S. Penn's Awaken Your Superhero
I dont really get this whole thing about on-line marketing: blogging and social networking, etc to generate money. People marketing in the off-line world generate a lot more money (I don't see anyone in the on-line world making $100,000 sales but that's an everyday occurrence in many areas, off-line). It seems that people hoping to make a living with web sites will:
never earn more than $100,000 a year
are trying to not work
failed at making a living in the real world
have no sales skills
Am I being to harsh or is this the reality?

in The Online Marketer’s Web Strategy on Christopher S. Penn's Awaken Your Superhero
This buy the service from dead right. In fact, you can but the service form Hubspot to get you web site traffic (i.e. optimize your site) and either create or get content (e.g. exonearticles.com, goarticles.com). Once you have 100+ pages of solid content on your site, then you have something for social media.

in Home Gain Buyer Link: What Gives With Buyer Leads? on Sellsius
I think on line lead generation is a winner but I wll be there are so many skeptical agents that complain "that wont work" yet at the same time complain about how bad the market is. The key issue is working the leads and working them quickly and working them well (actually having phone sales skills to convert leads into appointments).
