Somewhere in college I learned it is actually considered one of the greatest. I'm not sure why... maybe it's because it's the story of a misunderstood man determined and driven to be successful despite the prevailing winds, extremely private despite focusing the great lens on other people's lives, and seemingly driven by memories of the mundane. An excellent movie for those building their own xanadua as a monumental "fuck you" to inconspicuous consumption and common sense.

Re: The Best Film Ever Made

Leolo, that's another one (foreign film) that stirs some deep part of me to have watched it about 20 times in my early 20s. If you plan on calling them back, just let them know it's a courteousy call telling them you are initiating a charge back with your credit card company. These are kisses of death for a company that values it's ability to use merchant accounts through credit card companies.

Then, call your credit card company and tell them you did not authorize the charge and want them to process a charge back. End of story and heartache.

Re: 2008/11/18/consequences-of-social-media/

Talk about social media as a history tool, social media is helping me correct the historic record on behalf of my distant relative Sir Thomas Grantham. History records that the leader of America's first rebellion, Nathaniel Bacon, died of fever.

Sir Thomas Grantham wrote in his notes on Bacon's Rebellion that Bacon actually died of the Lousy Evil - a pubic lice infestation - in 1676. Social Media helped me make sure his version of the facts is known and shared. I linked the story to my name here.

Re: 40 of the Best Twitter Brands and the People Behind Them

Awesome post, but did you mean to title this "40 of the Best Corporate Brands on Twitter and the People Behind Them?"
