in New Twitter Design for Its Benefit, Not Ours on Marketing Pilgrim
I stumbled on the new design on the night of its release after not being on Twitter for a few hours. After jumping back on Twitter its seems that the general consensus is positive. I definitely can't say the same for Facebook. While I've been using (and liking) the new Facebook interface throughout the Beta period, the majority of people I've talked to about it after the official launch have not adjusted too well.

Guess you can't please everyone on the road to product improvement.

That's why Gary makes the big bucks - Brilliant idea! I hope the person that buys the book actually follows through and we hear about it again on Gary's blog/show!

Definitely some valuable advice! One alternative to the Disk Utility solution is an Open Source product called TrueCrypt (http://www.truecrypt.org/). It supports AES-256, Serpent, and Twofish encryption algorithms and offers versions for Windows, Mac and Linux platforms. Its a great solution for encrypting your USB sticks as well!

I highly recommend checking out Skitch - excellent program for quick image capture/manipulation/sharing.

Watch the demo video and you'll be sold (even though its free)!

in Growing Up with Social Networks on Social Days
Jane,

Thanks for sharing your holiday experience with this great post. Its a perfect real-life example of why corporate executives need to pay more attention to their company's participation on social networks. These kids are their future employees, and online communities are in their blood..!

in OoVoo- Video Chatting for 2008 on Chris Brogan
Thanks for the poke Chris! :)

I'm still having very strange issues with the latest version and even have ooVoo support scratching their heads! Word on the street is another Mac rev will be available by Monday the 18th. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Troubles aside, I found the experience fun while it worked for me, and and it should be interesting to seeing where they take the product. As part of a virtual company, I'm looking forward to the day when all my co-workers have web-cams and we can take advantage of tools like ooVoo!
