One of my girl friends, got divorced and then at the settlement asked for her share of the jewellery, sold it for an unimaginable amount, used the money to fund a holiday to India, to show off new American boyfriend and would be husband.....all in the span of a year......

Who says women cant gaze at women? I do, on buses , on the subway, on the street, furitively and unabashedly.
Sometimes, I am struck by the way she holds her head, sometimes by her walk, strong, bold , purposeful strides. Sometimes, it might be just the way she laughs and the way her teeth show glinting! But mostly what often grabs my attention will be the hair. Sometimes she will look right back and give me a smile, an acknowledgement.
Its perhaps not the same when a man looks at a woman, because there is no element of lust, sexual tension maybe.
Its possibly an art of appreciation.

Btw, I was wondering if you have read Fay Weldon's "She Devil"...there was a movie too based on the book with Meryl Streep as the vamp me thinks, ...completely hilarious, black comedy , a little overstretched , but I was going through "a phase" when I saw it and it made life so much more bearable! Haha!
