I cant believe they unmasked him! His site was only that good cause of the anonymity, he could get away with things when people didnt know who he was, i reckon interest will die down cause he'll have to change his tack.

I think this has been really interesting to see.
Google have been in effect penalising people for monetising their blog with anything but adsense, no one has complained of them doing that so far. I'm not saying it was an attack to stop people using competitors, but it seems odd to penalise for something like this.

I know adsense doesn't create the same kind of link, but those pages where adwords advertisers have ads still come up on a google search for backlinks.

Google have always been tough on link exchanges and reciprocal links, but maybe they are considering this unfair SEO?

hmmmm
Nothing happens at all...
I have done the following:
placed my style sheet in the css-container file,
changed the increase and decrease css files to my whole normal css file, with different text sizes
put links to these files in the sidebar setup bit,

what have i done wrong, im using ff2.

what am i doing wrong...i cant get this to work either!!!!!
i checked out the code on abhi's site, and mine is nothing like it.
All that happens when i search is it takes me to a google blog search page....
maybe its just too late at night to be trying to implement this stuff.
does the standard plugin give the same functionality as on your search box, cause that is what i was expecting...

when you say not 100% in ff, what do you mean? it stops the text extract flowing over on mine, but not the url, is this what you mean?

also, add this, and the width is regulated for page search, not just blog

is there a way to not show a title for this sidebar widget? my theme automatically puts a background up for h2 headings in the sidebar, but i dont want one here, and if i change the css for it, it changes the other h2 in the nav sidebar.

for everyone interested, to solve the problem of overflowing urls, add

overflow: hidden;

to the

.gs-result a.gs-visibleUrl,
.gs-result .gs-visibleUrl {

and

.gs-result a.gs-clusterUrl,
.gs-result .gs-clusterUrl {

sections of the plugin file.

dan, this is another fix that ive only just thought of, and is not in the file i emailed you.

dan, you'll be glad to know that the PHPSESSID problem was a plugin conflict with the skypebt plugin.
therefore the file i sent you is 100% XHTML valid.

Interesting to see that the never ending flurry of new iPods isn't stopping; not really sure that the current models need much changes. And as for having a camera in my none-iPhone-iPod, well that's just taking it too far, is there really a need for that?
