Nice choices! I adore Madonna, but could never emulate her style because I am not a rock star nor am I a cute, tiny blonde! I do like the look of layering a few long chains as you have shown.

I am a child of the 80s so I naturally gravitate towards the trend. I could never wear the big shoulders though as mine are naturally broad, but the vibrant colors and leggings...oh yeah!

I wear purple always no matter when the trend setters say it is style. That color is always a top seller online at the store no matter what season :-) I am glad to see it spotlighted this Fall.

I love Ed Hardy's designs and don't mind the punk meets rock meets biker look that a tattoo emblazoned t-shirt lends. It's good to be a little wild sometimes :-)

I love the Lexi Blouse in the cream color. Such a classic that is worth the splurge. Feminine blouses that fit your curves are such a find. I love the name of the store too!

I couldn't agree more with your choices. Sleek and elegant is the way to go. I prefer the "longer short" style that comes to the knee because it elongates the thigh (a body part many women complain about) and still shows off a sexy calf.

Interesting fix. I am tall and usually don't have a problem with lengths and when I wear heels, I have my longer length trousers and jeans that work. I am sure there are a lot of gals out there who will be thrilled to see this.

I need to a little more research on wikis to see how it will benefit my site in the future. I appreciate the resource and must admit, I don't know a lot about it. It's hard to say right now what will win in that arena. I'll just keep blogging!

I fell in love with her stuff when I purchased a tee from Anthropologie almost two years ago. Her jersey creations are worth the money and still quite affordable.

This silhouette does look great on pear shapes and it is too bad they are not represented more in fashion, considering a large portion of the population is a pear shape. But, then again the 50s style was all about the hourglass curves and wasp waist.

I must say I am impressed by some of the offerings from Target - I usually shy away from their clothing department, but I may have to give it a once over this season.

Someday I am going to splurge on a Mike and Chris jacket - I love their styles. All of these are great choices!

Oh! I have always wanted to rock a jumpsuit, but didn't think it was appropriate for a mid 30s woman. It seems jump suit equals roller disco queen or hanging on to lost youth, but you have certainly shattered this impression.

I couldn't agree more with your American style observation. When I go "out" I am dressed to the nines, but if it's just grocery shopping or running errands, I'm fine wearing sweats. It would be nice to have options such as these.

But then again, I do live in Wisconsin so it is REALLY easy to look great in your sweats :)
