in Police Academies One through Three on Movies we've seen.
This is all prelude. The fourth is really the magnum opus. (Spoilers to follow:) That's where you find out what C.O.P. *really* stands for and also what it takes to kill the brother of Badullah.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on Captain Harris vs. Captain Mauser in a future installment of MWS, as well.

Yeah, it's what I currently use - http://www.skitch.com/.

You can't draw anything onto the pics but it's much, much faster than Skitch. I personally prefer Jing to skitch.

+1. There's a beautiful yellow garden argiope in its web just outside my bedroom window right now.

I have never heard of Skitch. Is it the same type of program?

Eek.
Best wishes for a speedy and pain-managed recovery from a fan and frequent linker. Can you slip me a landmail address where I could send along an entertaining postcard or two?

Meh, I thought this was pretty ham-handed. I'd have liked to see them surprise a customer for real instead of staging it. They should have learned from approaches like Whopper Freakout and the Coke Zero lawyer stuff; honest reactions are always more interesting.

It seems pretty real to me, but it probably is staged! Still, it is pretty creative. I would have loved to see this in person!

I'm a new enough kthread fan that this is one of the first times I've seen you use this format. I like it very much.

I read that article yesterday as well and was confused about a detail the writer didn't cover -- you sure Checkout Blog isn't an Edelman project? I was under the impression that Edelman still does a whole lot of work for Walmart. Maybe things have evolved a bit on that account.

I know your claim is in the service of a larger point about the evolution of communication formats, but it strikes me as a bit of a hasty generalization. Why don't you trade OPML files with a different person each day for a week, particularly people who are outside of the "fabric" of TechMeme, and see if you can still confidently make the point?

Well said. I think this is one of the most important mindset shifts that marketing and product folks at big companies need to get through to start understanding how to support their users and create meaningful connections with the people they serve. Just as brands are negotiated, products are negotiated and launching a product out in to the world is really only the starting point for its evolution. Paying attention to what people want to do with it on their own terms and supporting them in those efforts however you can is critical to the next steps in the process.
