Just finished reading this and was completely blown away. Not to spoil anything but the ending was totally unexpected. If this issue is a good preview of how the storyline is going to go, then I am hooked.

I am a huge fan of T'Challa, and was happy to see him in a Marvel cosmic story. However, I am not a fan of Marvel Zombie books, and don't really get the appeal of them. I just sort of checked out of the whole Marvel Zombie universe.

I find it interesting that NBC's highest rated television series is Heroes, they could usually rely on the Law and Orders to help them out. I wonder what the ratings for Chuck, Heroes, and Journeyman will look after football season, assuming the writers situation gets resolved.

From what I read, the decision to make the movie was before Jolie was attached.

Studios only care about the bottom line. If they think Angelina is going to make them money, then they'll put her in the movie.

Anyway, I hope people realize that this is loosely based on the graphic novel, not like 300, or Road to Perdition, or From Hell, which were all exactly like the graphic novels. There's no Professor, Fuckwit, or Mr. Ricktus. So no need to pull the race card.

Not everyone can afford to buy four different versions. It's the insensitive side of capitalism (greed). Just because there are people who will do it (buy every version) doesn't make it right. I understand that the give aways are free stuff and I agree that they're cool, but the obvious display of greed irks me.

This is a mock up, right? Is it going to really be live action or CGI? If its live action, its going to be goofy. But if they do it like Beowulf (2007) , then it might turn out pretty good. I still have a sour taste from the Masters of the Universe movie with Dolph Lundgren (who also killed the Punisher)

I like the Blade franchise of movies and didn't think they were cheesy at all. However, I don't like the idea of a reboot. This seems to me an attempt to restart the franchise so it could keep going. I understand Weslely Snipes can't do the character forever. But look, it took 40 years before the Bond franchise was given the reboot treatment.

I agree, but look at the dates of some of those shows. Outside of point pleasant and tru calling, Fox hasn't had any success with genre shows on the network for a few seasons. I give them credit for having tried more, but much of their shows suffered from a lack of marketing and sports preemption. I think that Fox has sort of established a personality and an expectation from their audience.

Maybe those viewers they captured with shows like Millenium and X-Files have found their fix elsewhere, like Sci-Fi, USA, and NBC which all have had success with genre shows.

I think another problem was that some of these shows were out of place for the networks they were on. Look at what happened with Space Above and Beyond, Firefly, John Doe, and Dark Angel. They were all Fox shows that didn't perform up to network expectations.
But when you look at Fox programming, a science fiction series doesn't fit in with the network's overall personality. Fox leans towards action and reality shows. What that tells me is that the Sarah Conner chronicles is doomed for failure if it has too much science fiction and not enough action.

The funny thing is that I read the list before I read your intro and in my mind I was thinking about this needing to be renamed the Fanboy Awards. So, I totally agree with your intro.

It's about time. I have been a fan of the X-Men books for as long as I can remember. M-Day was okay, but the series needs something better than Endangered Species. When is this one shot due?

I was there when Nichelle Nichols confirmed definitively that she would be on Heroes at Dragon*Con.

I am not surprised at all. I wouldn't expect the "typical" comic book fanboy to support any minority comic book character to any significant degree.

I can dig it. But what does that do for him as a possible for Luke Cage, or even Black Panther?
I also like the idea of going with lesser known actors for the JLA movie. I just hope that the story is written well. I always thought that Jessica Biel would be a good Wonder Woman. In the past I had hoped that Charisma Carpenter would be WW, but Jessica Biel would be a better choice for the present. Victoria Hill would do as well. When they do the big screen wonder woman, I think they should consider Aishawarya Rai.

I would rather they not explain it. That would make the show more about what he is doing and its affects on him and his family, instead of trying to be concerned about how he's doing it.

But can you do that without alienating most of the fans of Star Trek?

All that initial rating means is that there was interest in the show. I haven't seen the numbers lately, but with Dr. Who averaging around 900,000 viewers, I doubt Flash is getting any more than that.

I don't really think casting matters that much. I just hope the story is good. I am not completely sold on the idea of going back to the original. I would have liked to see a Starfleet Academy movie or better yet a series. Or a movie follow-up to Deep Space Nine.

I like her for this role.

The only thing is that in the comics and on the cartoon when he was in human form, he was John Jones who happened to be a white man.

I confirms some new cast members. He talks about the past, which we know that this season going to be about the past. Also, he gives some hints about a new future, since we knew what the future was going to be and they changed it.

I know its a stretch. They don't really have to do much in the way of teasers, because the whole foundation of the show is that its one long teaser. That's what keeps us interested. Well, me at least.

Like another person commented on here before, "Who is Luke Cage?" I don't know if Luke Cage is well known enough for it to be as successful as a potential Black Panther movie. I think it would be an easier sell to those who don't know who Black Panther is. I would personally rather see a Black Panther movie before I would want to see Luke Cage.

That's what I'm waiting to see!!!
