I guess so: THE VICTIM OF A VIOLENT CRIME IS NEVER TO BLAME!

Re: I will not go back - Testimonies of Ex-Christians

I really feel for you. I have come to the point where I don't even want to talk to my parents because of the stress, even though they never say anything bad. You really have it rough. But you made the choice that was right for you, and I wish you the best.

Re: When was the Bible written? - Letters to the Webmaster

Of course there will be an uproar! But then again, there is when any real threat to Christianity comes around. Think of all the people picketing Harry Potter... not very many, eh? That's because it isn't a real threat. But this, this has real power, and I for one am glad!

Re: What is the euphoria that often comes from initial conversion? - Letters to the Webmaster

I've found that this euphoria is not limited to religion. It can be found in the discovery of virtually any change in lifestyle, although it is not always recognized by the individual. Think about it: people start start a new job with great enthusiasm, begin doing yoga and say they feel more balanced, and start a new relationship and loose the need for food or sleep (so it seems). Why would a new religion be any different?

Re: The Benefit of Believing - ExChristian.Net - Articles

I have to agree with the biological basis for the aversion. But in the past century, the lifespan of the average adult has doubled; so quickly in fact that we have yet to evolve out of this aversion! It's time for the human race to see past our feelings and look objectively at the world around us.

More children are NOT needed (though they may be wanted), and we need to start looking to adoption as an equal choice with biological birth as a means of family growth. End genetic discrimination - raise children with diverse DNA!

Re: Obligatory Castration for Transpeople?

WTF Sweden? I had come to expect better from you!

Cutting people's genitals off is just wrong, no matter what the reason, if they don't authorize it. I'm putting this story in the "creepy file", along with other forms of genital mutilation such as newborn circumcision and childhood gender reassignment.

Re: Don’t vote, the public sucks, fuck hope

You know what would be more effective than not voting? Showing up, getting a ballot, and only marking the people you truly can get behind, leaving the rest blank. If that leaves you with a ticket which is completely blank, so be it. What this does is give everyone you didn't vote for a lower percentage of the total vote. You are in effect saying "I dislike you so much I want to go on the record as not voting for you."

If everyone voted this way, how embarassing would it be (for the candidates) to collect all the ballots, and discover that out of millions of voters, only 10% voted for X and 17% voted for Y, the rest deciding that they both suck! I think it would make a great protest campaign, if someone would organize it.

Vote! You have no excuse to not show up and turn in your symbolic blank ticket of complete and utter disapproval!

Re: Obama’s whose candidate?

The first thing I thought when I saw it was "how is the light shining on both sides of her face, and still leaving a shadow down the middle of her nose?"
