I'm not sure how much faster Escobar is than KJ, I'd say KJ was slightly faster, but I don't know. KJ did get more triples and stolen bases than Escobar last season (even though he played a few months longer than Escobar), but I believe the ESPN guys were right the other day that the only thing Escobar didn't have compared to the rest of the SS in the NL East is great speed. Again though, like Frenchy and McCann, you could go either way with those two at leadoff and the #2 spot.

You can't really go wrong either way.

I got worried, too, because I first saw it when DOB reported it, not knowing if he was ok or not. It's really good that he is, because as he says, it could have been a lot worse than it was.

Apparently they swap between the two colleges each year. I always thought they played GT each year, but apparently not.

Somehow I don't think he will just yet, if he hasn't done so after getting married, at least not perosnality-wise/off the field. Apparently, he's still really messy and is supposedly the worst dressed on the team, according to DOB from AJC. That and Frenchy making fun of him, I'm sure he's still got some kid left in him.

But I hope you, and him also, are right in that he will have a good year at the plate. He thinks he feels the same as he did in '06, which is a really good sign.

I was purely going on stats with Kotsay because I've never seen him play before. Maybe now that his back isn't bothering him, that will benefit somehow.

I'm sure Kotsay's not better than Andruw in the field because very few, if any, are, but maybe Kotsay can make up for that with his bat. It'll be interesting to see what goes down, though.

That's what everyone is saying. Some think we could have put up a better offer than the Mets did, even though we wouldn't be able to keep both Santana and Teixeira long term. But our farm system is a lot better than the Mets'. I thought it was pretty stupid myself. That or the Twins didn't want to have to face Santana if they had let him go to the Red Sox or Yankees.

I think the Mets are trying to make up for their collapse of last year and maybe trying to outdo our acquistion of Teixeira, but I agree that this shall be an exciting race and even more so if we keep Teixeira.

Yes, he's taking the necessary steps to staying a Brave. I personally think he would rather stay with the Braves than go into free agency with the way he's talked about the organization and team while he's been here. Yeah, Boras still has a rep, but I wouldn't look for him to keep it too much longer if Teixeira walks, too.

Oh, and FanFest was very crowded. I meant to answer this in my previous comment, but posted without doing so. I have written a review post that I am going to post soon, along with pictures as soon as I get them all. The official site said between both days there was roughly 25,000 people that attended.

Also, you mentioning Teixeira signing, he supposedly has his Texas home for sale and has moved to north Atlanta. And it's also rumored he's wanting to drop Boras, but I'm not sure though. Makes you wonder though.

I know what you mean. Wordpress lets you cutomize more and I've also found some sites that have Blogger themes. I forgot what the addresses are though, but I'm sure I could find them again. Although, Blogger probably limits you on customization.

I was stuck not wanting to change from this layout for some reason. I tried finding one just as good and could not. I didn't like the other one to tell you the truth, lol. I just left it there last night to see if it would grow on me and I hadn't had a chance to change it back until now. I still didn't like it when I looked at it today. I think it was the colors, but I'll save it and play around with it for another time.

Yeah, I'm not sure that I really like this one too much myself and it took me forever to customize.
