I want to do one too soon, just working myself up to it. That is an absolutely awesome photo of you too - I just love it!

Re: A Day in the Life of Dhrumil Purohit

What an inspirational post, Dhru! And what a wonderful day you lead too. As someone who rushes out of bed and through the day, it is really beneficial to see how other people spend their day and establish habits eg. body brushing.
I love that you send a message of gratitude each day, sending love to the world is so important and those little emails will have a domino effect to other people also.

I can't wait to read more Day In the Life profiles!

Thanks for posting this, it's really made my day :)

Re: A Day in the Life of Dhrumil Purohit

Me again :)

I meant to ask - do you use any kind of bedding to sleep on the floor, and what is the significance for sleeping with your head facing the east? I guess in the southern hemisphere it would be the opposite?

Kate :)

Re: A Day in the Life of Anthony Anderson

That sounds like a fantastic day Anthony! I look forward to a time when I can have the structured randomness workday too, but for now I must do the 9-5 slog and resist the temptation of the TV when I get home.

I find it interesting that you don't eat before the gym... I'm completely new to fitness training and find I can't workout without something heavy to eat otherwise I'm lightheaded and nauseous. Is this something that I'd get over as I get more fit? I'm not sure if it is "normal" or not.

Thanks too WLIR team for these "day in the life of..." posts, I think it should become a blog meme!

Re: CreVax & Nathans Naturals false advertising update: almost all the Ads are off!

It's so fantastic to see the community coming together for this! It's now awful to think of all the other before and after photos of people - raw or not - that are more than likely to also be shams.

Re: Raw and Vegan » Maintenance Mode

Hi Angie, thanks for your comment!

There are classes but also support systems by way of a monthly raw food picnic - I'm attending my first today so I'll see how it goes.

Best of luck with your move back to Perth!

Re: Raw and Vegan » Maintenance Mode

Hi Karen!

I know :)

That's why I said I'd allude to it... saying the figure out loud, in public, is just too much right now!

Cheers, Kate

Re: Raw and Vegan » Maintenance Mode

Hi Sara,

Thanks for your comment! I like the sound of adding banana and vanilla bean - I was thinking of that but my hubby turned his nose up at the idea! I might just try it tonight.

This side of the world is nice in spring and winter, but right now its like an oven, with the days over 100F degrees!

Will look out for your email :)

Kate

Re: Raw and Vegan » Maintenance Mode

Thanks Kathryn! I'm on Traineo too if you want to add me as a friend/motivator. Will have to log in to remember my name again - what's yours on it?

Glad that you like the little bar on the side. It's not entirely accurate but gets the idea. I'm thrilled to think that I've lost 25% what I need to lose - it's such a relief!

I've read alot that it's often tougher to lose a smaller amount when you weigh less but I'm sure you can do it. Just parking at the far reaches of carpark 3 would be your 30 mins exercise/day! :)

Re: Raw and Vegan » Maintenance Mode

Thanks for letting me know Cheryl, I've reinstated the survey!

Re: I’m Baaaaack!

Hi JS,

Thanks for your comment and support :)

I've really been celebrating my break to coffee addiction! Before raw I was on 3 cans of Red Bull (guarana/taurine energy drink) each day and drinking tea or coffee too. I went cold turkey and haven't looked back.

I now really enjoy going to cafe's and having a peppermint tea while hubby has his espresso, and I have absolutely no desire for coffee but just enjoy the scent and atmosphere. It's bliss!

Kate.

Re: Raw and Vegan » Maintenance Mode

@Richard good point about the Wifi connect. I would love to be able to export my results, and say include them in a widget on this site. It would be awesome to compete with other people - the dancing game or running would be perfect for this. I like the idea about tracking other forms of exercise, if we could just enter information like how much cardio was done.

@Gamesweasel thanks for the link, and letting me use your pics :)

Re: Raw and Vegan » Maintenance Mode

This is a test comment

Re: Raw and Vegan » Maintenance Mode

Testing the comments field

Re: Evangalising Australian blogging and Web 2.0: the Perth Blog Meetup

Hi, I'm a bit late posting a comment here but oh well. Sounds like you had a good night. I've been meaning to make it to a Perth Blog Nite for a while, but I'm a little shy.

I travel the freeway daily from Mandurah to Perth to get to work. I've often thought of video podcasting the ride, and the conversation my fiance and I have over the course of the 1.5 hr trip. Although the conversation often descends into chaos as the traffic slows to a halt. And it probably wouldn't be too interesting either. :)

Re: Raw Pride

Hi Anthony,

Fantastic post and really relevant for me now, just starting a new job and wondering how to tackle the topic of being raw! So far I've revealed I'm strict vego.... then vegan... and that I'm raw to 1 person. I think I'll be taking in pie to let them know via their stomachs where I'm at!

That lime pie, Anthony - it's absolutely fantastic! I've made two this week, with last night's being the quasi-birthday cake at a raw friend's party, and it was an absolute hit! No one could work out how avocado could taste so good :) Thanks so much for sharing it with us :)

Kate
