B-Serious, I'm ITA with ya! For the life of me, I can't understand why the BHO camp waited until the DAY BEFORE the primary to send out flyers on trade? That's a hot button issue in PA and should've been pounded into the PA psyche the moment the WSJ published the article about Mark Penn. The same thing with Clinton's "Screw 'em!" comments and MoveOn.org.

I understand Obama not wanting to appear to be picking on the girl, but that doesn't mean he should allow her to get away with things that have facts and proof to back them up!

I don't think Obama believes McCain one bit. Deep down, he knows McCain is behind this just like he knew Hillary was behind the cocaine and Mudrassa attacks despite her denials.

The thing is that unless he has evidence that show McCain is behind this, he can't accuse him. It's a Black man's word against a white male "war hero's" word. Who do you think the public will believe.

I can just imagine the media reaction if Obama said he believe McCain's denials are bogus: "How dare he not believe a former P.O.W.!" "If it weren't for McCain's sacrifices, Obama wouldn't be where he is today".

This is where is surrogates come in. They can come forward and plant doubt in the minds of the voters by saying something like, "Well, it says alot that the presumptive GOP nominee can't persuade his fellow party members. If he doesn't have influence over fellow party members, how can he cross part lines to get things done in Washington?"

"Well, McCain did seek the nomination of Hagee and he did make that commencment speech at Liberty, so.....".

or....

Kitty: I hear you. But it's not Bill Moyers I don't trust. The PBS political pundits are covering this race the way it should be covered. What I don't trust is what the MSM will do with this interview. In fact, they've already started with the excerpts that were released, saying that Wright was subliminally saying Obama really shares his beliefs but is only saying what he has to say because he's a politician.

Roland Martin got into hot water with a caller on Al Sharpton's show because Martin said that Rev. Wright should've given his first interview to the black press.

I have mixed feelings about Wright speaking these past 3 days. Part of me supports him defending himself. Give the MSM a big "Kiss my ass! I'm gonna speak truth to power whether you like it or not!". But the other part of me knows that his words, no matter how innocent and truthful they are, will be twisted and mangled by the MSM for their own agenda. In fact, it has already happened with Chris Matthews, Mica Byrinszky, Andrea Martin and Fox News saying that he was making fun of former presidents or causing more division between blacks and whites, or (my favorite) insulting black children when he talks about how they learn differently.

Like it was pointed out upthread, we really need to learn how to be more savvy when it comes to fighting the Right Wing Media Monster.

Martin said Wright's people BEGGED him not to do the NPC event. BEGGED! But he didn't listen and look what happened.

I feel so bad for Obama because he looked so disappointed and sad that he had to go there today. I also feel bad for Rev. Wright because I think he was speaking the truth in a lot of things he said, and Americans can't handle the TRUTH about this country.

Dan Rather really pissed me off this morning.

Someone emailed The Morning Joe crew telling them that until they dig into John McCain's pastors, they need to lay off of Obama's so called pastor problem. Dan Rather said that he suspected that emails like that are orchestrated. Yep, Dan Rather, who lost his job thanks to his reporting on Bush, thinks that any emails criticizing the media's coverage of Wright/Pfleger/Trinity are phoney!

Of course, resident MSNBC bubble head, Mica Briewzinsky, claimed that they did talk about Hagee and the two situations ar different. Rather also said that the reason why Hillary hasn't received flack for her religious affiliations is because nothing has been found. I guess they missed the memo about The Family.

It is NOT A FACT that there's a videotape showing Michelle saying "whitey". The rumor of the tape was a lie put out to damage her reputation.

So, who's character is really being assassinated?

But honestly, neither of you are interested in preventing anyone's character assassination, manslaughter, homicide....etc. You're interested in protecting your candidate and his associates. Period.
