OBAMA PROVES WHITES
NOT AS PREJUDICED AS WE THOUGHT !

" There's no way America would vote for a black president !.....America's not ready for a black president." That has historically been the sentiment and attitude shared by the majority of blacks in America due in part to the fact that we have always been under the assumption that most whites are so prejudiced that a black president in America would just never happen. But one of the most incredible things that has arisen through Barack Obamas campaign has been the vision of mass numbers of white people at each of the Obama rallys showing great love and support for this credible, intelligent, gifted, strong leader....who happens to also be black. It has been incredibly eye-opening and uplifting, and it, for the first time, shows us blacks that we have actually been wrong in our assumption that most whites are prejudiced toward us. Guess what ? Although you do have the exceptions to the rule, the fact is....most whites ARE NOT racist toward blacks. This is a very important revelation. VERY !!!

We, as blacks have held on to our injured history, which we rightfully feel was caused by whites, to such a degree that we have never had the opportunity to see or learn that the prejudiced attitudes of whites does not exist today like it had in the past. We just didn't know. We knew that a lot of whites like black music. We knew that millions of white women love Oprah, but we thought that was just a 'woman thing'. But in all honesty, we had no idea, until now, that white people of all ages....even older ones...could be as supportive of a black candidate as they have shown in great mass. We, as blacks have been wrong !

And now, to my black brothers and sisters....It's time for us to acknowledge this extremely important revelation...In other words....all whites are not prejudiced !!! In fact, MOST whites aren't ! I know, it's hard to believe because of our lifetime of thinking differently....but these are the facts. Just look in the eyes of the whites at Obama's rallys. You see a true warmth, compassion and true support for this man....who is black. What this means is that most whites have risen above the racism of old. Now, it is time for us, as blacks, to rise up as well. Of course, we as blacks will have the specific cases of injustice and prejudice as displayed through examples like Jena 6, Genarlow Wilson, Katrina and the like....and specific cases like those should be dealt with accordingly. In regards to economic, educational and criminal injustices and institutional racism....we still have a long way to go. But we must not continue to allow certain negative occurances to misdirect our minds toward thinking that these negative examples speak for the entire white race. The majority of whites of today are actually on our side !

Obama's campaign has already won by proving that whites and blacks can not only get along....but can work TOGETHER....toward a better tomorrow...for us all. And guess what my black family....America IS ready !!! (originally written March 24, 2008)

For the GOP to be undecided as to whether or not the 'magic Negro' statement is acceptable or not just further exemplifies just how out of touch this group really is. They not only have no understanding of minority concerns, but they sadly have no desire to even learn, which is why the GOP will remain a group of losers....out of touch with the diversity of real America.

Just a note to share how much we loved and will miss Stephanie Tubbs-Jones. My office is in the same building as her Cleveland congressional office and so I would see her almost every Friday (when she was in town). She never failed to take time out to share a kind word or to listen to the needs of her constituents. We, the citizens of Cleveland, have always honored our Congresswoman. She was truly a servant for her people and will be greatly missed. We keep her family, particularly her son Mervyn, in our prayers.

As I read through a number of the comments I can't help but to feel a bit saddened. What is it in our make-up that makes so many of us have such a self-defeative mentality ? At a time in history where we all as blacks should be filled with pride....doing EVERYTHING we can to help toward this historic path to the White House....making certain that ALL black children know the name Barack Obama....a name that represents hope for all black children (for a change) !

But instead, we have those who have need to display their incredible levels of intellect, by degrading and bringing down the name of their own which shines. To the intellects I ask.....are you saying you'd prefer McCain? Are you saying you'd prefer status quo ? (white folks in charge) Are you saying McCain would do more for blacks than Obama ?

I don't think so. Therefore, wake up....as you know....one of the biggest problems in our community is black-on-black crime.....now is NOT the time for black-on-black slime. All of your negative comments regarding Barack Obama are only hurtful to the cause and helpful to the adversary.

p.s. We are great fans of JJP.

Black Americans, and many of all races are EXTREMELY disturbed by Hillary's insinuation of a possible assassination of Barack Obama. To imply that her reason for staying in the race is because anything can happen, then nonchalantly say that even Robert Kennedy was assassinated in June, meaning therefore she should stay in, is not only pitifully diobolical but incredibly dangerous.

As I read some of the comments, I sense that some do not understand the true impact of her deadly insinuation. Keep in mind, when it was first announced that Obama was running for President, the initial concern in Black America was his safety. "Would some nut sniper him"? Obama had to hire secret service security right out of the gate.....why? Because of the true possibilty of some nut doing harm to him or his family.

Also, during the last 50 years, the people who have been assassinated have ALL been leaders who were working toward equality for ALL. John F., Robert and of course Dr. King. So just the WORD assassination brings to us not only an extreme fear but is a reminder of the incredibly sad loss to America, particularly Blacks, at the hands of the sick and wicked. For Hillary Clinton, a so-called leader, to insinuate, for WHATEVER reason assassination....is beyond disgusting. It subliminally sparks the hatred, bigotry and destruction that most Americans have worked so hard to overcome.

The ONLY place we as Americans could attempt to gather some truth was through C-Span, Huff and a few other sites which would show all of the networks to be actually misleading America. Now, with as simple a tool as Google, Americans can find out information that the networks won't give. The fact that there has been absolutely no mention of her cult leads one to believe that the higher-ups at the networks (and other big corporations) are a part of 'The Family'.....and the plan to rule the world. Truthtellers like Huffington, The Nation, Mother Jones and others have all done recent stories about 'The Family'....but where's CNN, MSNBC, Fox or the gang. They all know that there's an internet rumbling going on right now about this cult. But....no mention. Do the research yourselves....check into 'The Family'....once you do....you'll see that it is not only scary....BUT IT MUST BE STOPPED !!!!!!!!!!!!!! LEARN/SHARE !!!!!
