I've been reading rumors on TechCrunch that Apple wants to get into search. It also seems to me that Steve Jobs is everything that Jerry Yang is not in terms of a corporate visionary with experience to turn around a company. It would also seem to me that Yahoo's engineers could help Apple fix the problems with Mobleme for the iPhone. With Yahoo trading around $10 a share, now might be a good time for Apple to move in.
This makes so much sense and I've been hoping for several months that something like this would happen. I've even suggested it to the head of 360. I've a frustrated 360 user that is tired of waiting for Yahoo to finally come out with the "Universal Profile System" to replace 360.
You didn't mention that WordPress powers most of Yahoo's corporate blogs. Yahoo's small business devices also heavily promotes WordPress as a blogging option for Yahoo's web hosting customers.
Sigh...Yahoo continues to move in so many different diretions at once. I wonder if this is taking away from resources that could be devoted to their "univeral profile system" that will be replacing 360.
