Great stuff, but a professional video company that produced this piece. It'd be great if you highlighted some of the artistic endeavors of amateur individuals. Isn't that the longer tail anyway?

As someone who works for multiple cable networks (where we're both selling advertising on our own air and trying to get folks to watch via advertising our shows) it's going to be hard to get our marketing folks to put down the megaphone and embrace this vision.

The only potential problem I can forsee is that the search engines use URLs as part of their calculation of relevance. If shorter URLs were the only URLs, I think you'd see some sights dropping in search results. If they're an augmentation to make life easier on users, I'm all about it. I wonder if my blogging software includes that option?
