in Why I don’t comment on blogs on The Qwidget Blog
I agree. Blogs and web-based fora in general are inferior. E-mail lists can sometimes be good but, really, Usenet is "yer only man".

in Daily Aid 26: How to understand how the economy is really doing on Financial Aid Podcast Weekly Internet Radio Show
Good introduction to the subject.

One typo:

"Banks don’t trust each other and would rather borrow from the government instead." should read "would rather lend to"

in Test Driving the Unreleased Audi R8, the Supercar Even Women Fantasize About (Plus: A Favor) on The Blog of Author Tim Ferriss
I am sorry but I cannot agree that the blog is perfect, as others suggest.(It is, of course, pretty damn good, or I wouldn't be here !)

The main improvement for me as a reader would be to stop covering multiple topics in a single post. If I had not caught you at it before, I would have assumed that this latest post was an extended paean of praise for a motor car, and skipped to the next item on my list of RSS feeds.

As a reader for some time, I have a good idea why you do this, but it does not work for me.

in An Automated Testimonial Machine on Duct Tape Marketing
John,
I am saying the latter - if used to the full, anyway. However, I suspect that it would be slow to catch on over here, in the B2b markets anyway, because testimonials are tainted. Trying to think why, I seem to associate them with "snake-oil"-type ads.

For me, and for most people I know, anonymous or semi-anonymous testimonials are absolutely useless. I pay them no attention. Worse, I tend to think less of people who use them. It must be one of those things that divide us like our common language. (I live and work on the Eastern side of the Atlantic).
