I love it! I'm ticked I didn't think of it first. I have been printing t-shirts for a couple years now to hand out to former clients "I found my home on JustNewListings.com" and "real estate 2.0 where consumers win!" on the back w/ logo and all.

Anyway the t-shirt is excellent and a great gift to all clients in the past year and going forward, Jay.

Maybe NAR will be taken more seriously on their supposed concern with social media when the throw out their bogus Article 12 of the Code of Ethics after they initially in REALTOR magazine encouraged realtors to use keywords such as MLS (a generic term these days). Now successful realtors who pay $$$$ to the NAR are being persecuted by their local MLS boards by jealous realtors who refuse to modify their business models.

The NAR is allowing with Article 12 serious injustices to go on as a result of realtors taking the NAR's good advice. This is upside down and disgusting.

To be taken seriously in their social media endeavors NAR needs to rescue these realtors who are being thrown under the bus with their misguided policies and unintentionally nefarious policies.

Prove to use you care about your members instead of the bullcrap Pamela Kabati. Seriously!

How many agents/team members do you have on board? If I was there I'd be with your brokerage in a heartbeat other things being equal....

Great post Dan the man! So true about balancing ego and humility. Be thankful for the opportunity to work VERY hard...it's much better than boredom.

I wrapped the back of our Honda Odyssey and have had several people register at my website (that I know of) and I'm sure others have who have not told me as much. 1 sale from wrapping an auto makes it worth buying and wrapping another vehicle....It must be focussed on the website though--no cheesy pics of a realtor, etc.


I just added the formbox per your post a month ago on how you increased greatly the number of comments you were receiving....Thanks for the inspiration and it is working!

I'm not a basketball fan, but I LOVE this post. All the time I redo in my mind phone conversations, negotiations, contracts and decide what was right and what could or should I have said or written or advised. One can learn so much from their transactions if you really analyze them afterwards/during. By doing this for awhile you get to where you are way above the pack in protecting your clients when writing a real estate contract.

I immediately tried to upgrade my membership at Inman this morn ($149) but they were overwhelmed so I couldn't really "turbo" charge my profile. Can't wait to see what the site offers. From my first peak it seemed like a wannabe Facebook for real estate....

I tested out TV on the front end. What did I find?
A bunch of desperate agents spamming the trulia voices arena outside their markets so they could increase the number of answers they had on record. It was pathetic. Has it changed? Or do agents still participate outside of their marketplaces? Nothing is worse than real estate spam. It ruins it for everybody....

yes VARBuzz is awesome and puts the VAR at the front of the association packs nationally I would imagine. It is also dofollow thanks to Ben's being receptive to my thoughts on supporting its bloggers with a change in their original layout. However one must be cautious about their text links in general these days. I read some interesting info on the dofollow vs. nofollow debate recently:

Since my name is Jay I guess I'm obligated to be a jaybird. But I'm definitely the best pecker out there. :)

The better team won; it's that simple. What was frustrating is how pathetic ASU's offensive line was. Combine that with a quarterback who was hobbling since the 1st half and it's not pretty. I can't help but wonder how the game would have gone if Carpenter got benched early due to his not being 100%....Their 2nd string QB immediately was able to run the offense and pick apart UT's defense. I'm inclined to say let's not assume Mr. Emotional Carpenter is next year's starting QB. I was very impressed with our other QB--simmons or sullivan?

Still it was a great year--at least much better than expected. I can't wait to see if Erickson can get recruit us a line that can block and a defense that dominates. A lightening fast All-American receiver again wouldn't hurt either.
