Uh... That's what I wear, like all the time. Running shoes are comfortable as are jeans. Of course, being a grad student, I'm barely considered an adult (or even a person) to begin with. ;)

Bummer. But I would add Europe's "The Final Countdown" for the last half-mile or so and one of the 80's montage songs from Rocky IV for good measure.

The wife and I thought it could have been cut in half and been made really exciting and really good. But the six hour presentation just had lag after lag. The middle section was probably the slowest part (if I remember correctly). But then if I wanted a tight film with great writing that was consistently good for its entire runtime, I probably would be watching something other than the Sci-Fi channel.

It's the Oscars -- which means that it's hardly worth watching once and is definitely not something you keep in your DVD catalogue for posterity's sake unless you've managed to actually win one. Or if someone on the red carpet (Scarlett Johannsen or Isla Fisher for example) is wearing a red spaghetti strap dress and the straps break and all is revealed. Unfortunately, due to the forced lag that was implemented after the Janet Jackson scandal (seriously, scandal? it was just a harmless boob), that'll never happen and if it does we'll never actually see it until it's leaked onto the internet anyway.

So sure you're justified only because you're not keeping it for you and you're trying to help some friends out.

I've tried explaining the THF to others before and most of the time it just doesn't click. However, lately, I've noticed that if I do manage to get the big cup, I usually only get through half of it before the ice melts and it's watered down too much to be tasty or cold anymore and then usually gets tossed. So the THF must also be mediated by the LF, liquidation factor. Don't you think?

Btw, I wholeheartedly agree with your Chick-Fil-A assertion. In fact, I'm rather disappointed that as I sit in the middle of New Orleans, the closest Chick-Fil-A is much closer to the airport (miles and miles away) than to the Big (Sl)Easy itself. I was really looking forward to it.

I've never done but having had serious stomach issues I've considered it. The good news is that there's usually plenty of reading material written on the walls.

I think the newspaper of the floor answer depends on your fiber content. If you're gonna be a while, pick it up and take your mind off things. Otherwise, play sanitary and leave it be.

That's still better than my own experiences. Being the first one in a right turn lane sitting next to a sign that very clearly says "NO TURN ON RED" and having people from behind go around me and take the red light right turn.

You know all this news about the death of HD-DVD would be great and all if I could actually afford to buy a Blu-Ray player. But since that's not the case, I'm not sure I care. So good-bye, HD-DVD, I never got to know you and I guess I never will.

I use mactips and lifehacker in my RSS reader to find tips like that but I'll have to check out Dan's.
