yeah they had pre-orders at B&H photo for $429 (not 4429...cause that's expensive!) a few days ago but they've taken that down too.

it claims there is a 6 cell battery but that's prob a typo...since only the 1005HAs have the 6 cells I thought.

so you're thinking it's a super high voltage battery with the 1005HA-Hs? I think if the battery life is comparable to the 1000HE and the price is about the same it seems like a good deal. I wonder if it will be released in the US soon though cause the 1000HE is only a few months old. They seem to be update their netbooks too quickly!

according to the same portablemonkey website, B&H photo has it available for pre-order for $429.95 and it estimates availability in May. Too bad it's glossy and has a weaker battery than the 1000HE :/

i think EEE has stood for “Easy Excellent, and Exciting.” since the 1000H...cause that's what it says on my box at least.

yeah but the samsung nc10 SE isn't out yet and its preorder price is $125 more than the asus 1000he...doesn't seem worth it.

I think you might have referred to the 1000HD in the wrong context. The 1000HD also has a celeron like the 904HD. The 1000H has the Atom. The only difference between the 1000HD and thee 904HD is the screen size. So many models to be confused with!

I agree with you FDA, I was tired of waiting for the 6 cell wind so i bought the eee pc 1000h after the price drop. I'm glad I did cause it's cheaper than thee 6 cell wind now! They said the 6 cell wouldn't be available until Sept so I just went for the eee. I think if you do wait until Sept, prices will go down cause the dell e will come out
