in Heinrich mum on work history on The New Mexico Independent
The Independent has fallen into the trap of coming after non profits and community organizers. This thing isn't an issue that means much in the large scheme of things. Look around for real stories that affect us all.

in NASCAR in TorC? on The New Mexico Independent
The State Land Commissioner and his staff should look up the definition of the words "due diligence" and then try to live by the definition. This isn't the first time they have been suckered by hucksters. What ever happened to the touted "Worlds Largest Solar Plant" near Deming. Oh, thats right, it was pushed by con men with numerous felonies.

in All tapped out on The New Mexico Independent
There are 1.2 million acres of leased but undrilled BLM lands in New Mexico. That is a hell of a lot. The contention that more is needed to be leased and that new inventory will cause more construction of drilling rigs is preposterous. The inventories of land that are leased but undrilled across the west is about 65 million acres. New Mexico is better than other states but it still has 25% of its inventory undrilled. Think speculation and price manipulation here.

in No slam dunk on The New Mexico Independent
One shouldn't forget that this is public land we are talking about. It doesn't belong to any specific grazing permitee or mining or timber company. They have an interest in these issues, but they shouldn't have veto power through people like Domenici to stop something that is in the public interest on public land.

in Audit raises (millions of) questions on The New Mexico Independent
This guy lived next door to my brother Tom. He abandoned the home in the middle of the night and left with his family. The Attorney General's office came looking for him and interviewed my brother. The house still sits empty and is deteriorating causing a problem for the neighborhood.
