Just wanted to give people a follow up on my money saving scheme involving an iPhone 3GS (I know, sounds like an oxymoron...). I did dish out $800 on the 16GB 3GS (that's after taxes and no way of returning it back to Rogers because I didn't activate the phone thru them) + the OtterBox case for $80 (Im rough on phones). I canceled my land line, $30/month, which would have been ~ $1000/3years. Like most people, I have internet at home and have set up a secure wireless network so I can browse teh internets on my netbook and the iPhone anywhere at home. I signed up for Skype's unlimited calling in US/Canada for $2.95/month or you can sign up for a year for $30! (much better than $30/month with Robbers) and enjoy Skype calls from home.

Some simple arithmetic:
1) savings by kicking Robbers to the curb: $1000
2) bought iPhone for $800 and Otter case for ~$100 = $900
3) spent money on Skype service for 3 years (at least until GoogleVoice comes along): ~$100
Difference = $0 (all rough estimates, but basically, it pays off to kick one of the big boys out of your life).

With Skype, if you sign up for a plan like mine (you can cancel anytime), you can forward your calls from Skype to any landline/mobile for free. This means that I stay logged in at home all the time, so when someone Skypes me and I dont answer, the call is forwarded to my iPhone while Im on the road (SpeakOut charges of 25 cents/min kick in)!! Confused me the first time some1 Skyped me while I was driving (shows up on mobile as "unknown").

Also, Skype gives you free voice mail, but SpeakOut already gives this option free of charge.

Anyway, by canceling my landline with Rogers and NOT signing up for one of their outrageous iPhone plans (thus saving upwards of $2000/3yrs) AND by using Skype I have almost everything I need, and still saving money.

Now if only GoogleVoice came though with that invite, I won't even need Skype to call free anywhere in the world. Its coming real soon :)

PS I did neglect to mention that I spend roughly $200/year on SpeakOut, but this is not a back breaker since Robbers would have been much more expensive.

I used the suggestion I found on another forum: USE GARAGEBAND. most of you should have this. Open Media, find the song you like and drag it into Garageband, select Share, Save Ringtone to iTunes. If song is longer than 40 seconds, it will warn you that you need to trim it (opens a scale that sets proper ringtone length). Trim it, do the Share steps again, and bam! you have a new ringtone that is the right size.

Ya, I got the new 16GB 3GS! It's smokin'! The speakout sim works beautifully as well (took a while to activate though, which had me worried). BE AWARE when buying a no contract phone from Rogers WITHOUT a Rogers wireless account: NO REFUND/RETURN/WARRANTY. That's fine with me since this is an Apple product, which is still under Apple's 1 year warranty :)

Oh, i don't think it looks too bad. I gonna see it, only because i loved the games when i was a kid must of finished 1 and 2 atleast a dozen times lol.

Actuallly if you read the script it sucked hardcore btw, mila kunis dies near the end. And the games storyline was 100x better then this

I think with a little improvement at Badlandz that would be a Great location. I really liked having it there when they did it a few years back.

I think the league is out growing Bolingbrook. But then again there my not be enough room at Badlandz with the way the PSP has grown.

I also think the PSP needs to set a team limit and stick to it , if you don't get in time then you don't get to play.

It's not a matter of a smart move... it's a matter of he's out of money and this is all he can afford. Just remember you get what you pay for. cheap entry, cheap prizes, weak events.
