in CPA Exam Score Release Predictions - April/May 2009 Window - Wave 2 on CPA Exam BlogDo not feel demoralized. I used Yaeger home study (not the cram), used the discount from Jeff's site- thanks to Jeff,, and to be honest I really enjoyed the material they taught, even though I hated the IT part since there are so many things to memorize. However I passed both BEC(got my score 86 last Sat ) and REG (got my score 89 in May) and I am a first time test taker using Yaeger, and passed both parts in one try. I think the key is you have to understand the concepts and practice lots of MCQ to master BEC - just my opinion.
I am anxiously waiting for AUD and have been spending sleepless nights. I also studied AUD using Yaeger, but in my opinion I think I like the way they taught BEC and REG far better than the way they taught AUD- just my opinion. Will see how i do.

in CPA Exam Score Release Predictions - April/May 2009 Window - Wave 2 on CPA Exam BlogIs it safe to assume then, that they will not release AUD today, based on what you have seen in the past?
Or is there still any chance for AUD release today?
Thanks

in CPA Exam Score Release Predictions - April/May Window - Wave 1 on CPA Exam BlogBasically since it is after regular working hrs, I was wondering if the NASBA system needs some person to be present to update their system, and if CA board needs someone as well to update their system.
Otherwise how can it be release over the weekend?
Or is the whole thing in NASBA and CA Board an automatic process, without any manual intervention??
Someone pleaaaaaaaaaase reply if you know. Just a few words.
Thanks

in Manifesto de Merde: Can the crap on Off TrackI don't have a dog, but like most people use to for many years, and I am proud to say that I've never taken any dog to any parks ever. It boggles my mind that people would ruin the beauty & nature of parks by taking dogs (and their waste there). And multiply that by so many people who have the same not-so-great 'lets bring a dog to the park and taint and ruin the beauty.' Trust me, even for the people who pick up their dog's poop, you cannot get it all, and I always cringe when I see people laying on the grass picnicing etc. - You just know that they are laying in dog waste - Yuck!
Take yourself to the park and leave the dog at home - All parks thank you!

in Open Thread: Ann Coulter and Other Republicans Compare Obama to Hitler on Jack and Jill PoliticsAnyway, if you feel better thinking I have gained another 300 pounds and now weigh 600 pounds, which probably means I would not fit through a door frame, that's okay by me. But, in fact, my jeans have a 34-inch waist which fits just fine. No belly to bulge over.
If you want to think I live in a white supremacist compound in Montana, that's okay too. I love Montana, but I do live in Flatbush, Brooklyn. Montana, by the way, seems to have Obama fever too.
As for controlling the minds of people, well, I gather that's something you dream of. Mind control. Wild. You said it wasn't possible to control the minds of people here. Does that mean you believe it's possible to control the minds of people elsewhere? It seems your answer is "yes."
Anyway, like I said, the way politics works is simple. The opposition keeps flinging spaghetti at the wall until something sticks. Usually a candidate creates his own problems.
Like Hillary, who is compelled to lie about her exploits around the world over the last decade. She'd hoped Americans were too lazy to fact-check her claims. Too bad for her that she was wrong.
This presidential election will be the first YouTube election. The Knnedy/Nixon race of 1960 is thought of as the first televised election. Historians believe TV changed the outcome.
This year YouTube is likely to have the same effect. The rantings of Reverend Wright have been seen by millions, rather than only his congregation. Americans will have unlimited access to video of Obama and Wright. Of Obama positioning his children to receive their spiritual indoctrination from a man who hates America. A man who reveres Louis Farrakhan. That's bad news for Obama.
Then, as I mentioned, Obama's plan for increasing Capital Gains taxes will become transformed into a debate on Reparations. He will have no escape from white voters thinking he will impose a huge transfer of wealth from whites to blacks. That's politics. Perception is reality.
However, you raised one wild-card issue that cannot be ignored. McCain is 71. It is possible for him to drop dead before election day.
The odds are against that happening. But it is far more likely McCain would drop dead than Obama.

in Open Thread: Ann Coulter and Other Republicans Compare Obama to Hitler on Jack and Jill PoliticsAs I've said, perception is reality. I guess you missed that part of my comment. However I did say it is a FACT that Obama is linked to Islam, because his father was a muslim and therefore, despite your protest, he's linked.
Meanwhile, I'm merely making a prediction about what's ahead. Shortly before the Democratic primaries began, NOBODY predicted Obama would would be where he is today. NOBODY.
Meanwhile, NOBODY predicted Hillary would be where she is today. The unchallenged word around town was that Hillary had the nomination locked up. Whoops.
On the other hand, you raised the issue of neo-nazi 300-pounders. I'm not among them. but they exist, as do many many millions of Republican voters.
To fill you in, I'm 5'11" and 182 lbs. I live in Flatbush, Brooklyn, probably the most diverse place in the country.
Meanwhile, I assume your post was merely your shot at flinging some invective my way. But if you really believe what you wrote, you will be disappointed, possibly soon, or at the latest, in November.
America will elect a black candidate to the presidency. But not this one. He hasn't got the right stuff.

in Open Thread: Ann Coulter and Other Republicans Compare Obama to Hitler on Jack and Jill PoliticsObama is not a muslim. But he is factually and incontestably linked to Islam. By his father, his name and his association with Rev Wright who thinks the world of Louis Farrakhan.
You, as you said, might have no problem with his inexperience. But you are one person. Many many millions of voters disagree with you.
His wife said she felt her first moment of pride in her country when her husband found widespread support for his candidacy. Her comments will cost him dearly in the general election. He will be seen as someone who shares her views. Worse for him is the fact that voters will refuse to elect a candidate whose wife has such a low opinion of the country.
And my favorite. Reparations. Obama wants to raise the Capital Gains Tax Rate. Capital Gains are seen as a distinctly white form of earnings. Whites collect capital gains. Wealthy whites. Possibly the wealthy whites whose forebears owned plantations or in other ways prospered from slavery.
Hence, to increase the capital gains tax rate is to increase taxes on the people seen as the beneficiaries of the ill-gotten gains of slavery.
Obama's capital gains tax increase will be seen as the Reparatioins Tax. If nominated, he will be linked to the idea of Reparations. Surreal, perhaps. But inevitable. Wear your tin-foil hat if you want. But there is a movement aimed at obtaining Reparations. That group will seek and receive press attention if Obama is nominated.
If nominated, Obama will be painted as the candidate out to extract as much wealth as possible from whites for the benefit of blacks. It will end in a landslide loss for him.

in Open Thread: Ann Coulter and Other Republicans Compare Obama to Hitler on Jack and Jill PoliticsCraig Hickman and Justice58 found these points to be laughable. Why?
Aside from the fact that Obama has far too little experience -- which by itself is sufficient for a loss in November -- what strategies will get him past the doubts of the majority of voters?
Those who vote in Democratic primaries add up to LESS THAN HALF of the voters who will go to the polls in November.
What will Obama do to overcome the belief that he is the candidate who will support Reparations legislation?

in Open Thread: Ann Coulter and Other Republicans Compare Obama to Hitler on Jack and Jill PoliticsHillary would lose to McCain. But Obama would lose as if he were running against George Washington himself.
Why? All the reasons that have been mentioned here. Whether you care to admit it or not, he is sympathetic to muslims and Islam. That's bad these days. But there's nothing he can do about it.
It is a fact that among muslims, if you are the child of a muslim father, you are a muslim at birth. Of course a person can embrace a new religion, as he seems to have done.
But has he really? Reverend Wright is more of a disciple of Louis Farrakhan than a follower of Christianity. Thus, Wright is a key link between Obama and Islam, even the perverted form practiced by Farrakhan and the NOI.
Then there are those facts about the contents of Obama's books. Coulter mentioned important points. Obama showed a high level of defensiveness and excessive sensitivity to almost meaningless actions by whites.
However, the deal-killer is already in place. If nominated he hasn't got a chance in the general election because he's already set a trap for himself.
He stated he wants an increase in the Capital Gains Tax Rate. Capital Gains are seen as a very white thing. Rich whites are the ones who receive most of the Capital Gains income in this country.
If Obama is nominated, it will take almost no time at all before raising Capital Gains taxes is seen as his stealth move to fund Reparations.
Critics will call the capital gains tax increase the Reparations Tax. When white voters get the idea that electing Obama is likely to open the door to Reparations -- a huge transfer of wealth from whites to blacks - they will vote twice for McCain wherever possible.
Obama is likely to lose in the biggest landslide in American history.

in The Last N***a Left on Uptown NotesAnonymous, thanks for that.
I know of St. Augustine, the oldest still survivng settlement in what is now the U.S. state of Florida and you are right, there were Black/African people in this country way before Jamestown and the cruelty of white English slavery.
I still to this day wonder what life would be like for us black people if the Spanish, and not the English, had kept control of this country.
Sigh.
We will never know.
