If Twitter going mainstream means they can get a more robust backbone to handle the immense amount of traffic, I'm all for it. If it means they're going to start hosting advertisements, then I'm against it.

Change is inevitable and I think we're all in this together so why not try to change it for the better right? Twitter makes the call to action concise, and global. If that's not the future, then what will be?

My 2 cents, Myspace has been a lot more customizable which is a big draw for a lot of the creative types, or those that want to feel creative. Whether or not this was a good idea varies from person to person, but it can definitely puts it's flaws right out in front.

Facebook Always seemed so elitist to me because at first you couldn't get in unless you were enrolled in a school. Fresh out of college, and it wouldn't let me sign up for an account so I never went back.

Personal blogs, now that's where it's at. It's a pitty livejournal isn't up there, but it's stayed the same for so long.

Once I get the money together, apple is the way I'm going now that the workstations are a better value and can run both operating systems. Is there a drop in performance when running windows on a mac, that'd help me figure out which version of a program to buy.

I'd like to see an option where I input my interests (tags) once on my profile, and it alerts me when the people I've followed say something relevant to those interests. I think it would be a simpler way to filter out the noise, not to say geo tagging wouldn't be awesome.

It is incredibly hard to stay productive for me, and I only follow 100 people on twitter. I have to just shut it off to get any work done, but I do think about being able to just let the data wash over me as I reach a state of mild attention to everything. Almost godlike, especially in the ineffectiveness it creates.

Anyone think god might have created the universe and then been paralyzed by the sheer amount of information he had to take in?

What if you link to a blog in your posts, and the blog goes under? Does that have the same adverse effect? if so, I've got a buttload of links there that could be a huge pain in the arse.

Tweetdeck FTW. I'm a big fan. I'm also quite guilty of starting a profile only to have one post and never use it for anything ever again, but I have learned the error of my ways. Twitter search helped me a lot when looking for a Job in Buffalo. It's like google blog search only faster and more relevant.
