They're being inconsistent - they approved the ebook reader app Stanza, which has access to the same content. Combine that with the approval of the suicide girls and bouncy boobs apps, and it becomes really embarrassing.
For some reason, I find that kind of inconsistency more annoying than the overzealous CYA that (in my opinion) obviously fueled the Eucalyptus rejection.
If they found fart apps objectionable, would the app store make any money at all?

I'm really too paranoid to even need (or trust) one of these - my eyes are rarely off my kid in public anyway. It could break; your kid remove their end (or put it on the luggage belt - heh).
What seems odd to me is that the alarm sounds on the adult side. If one's kid is wandering off in an airport or mall with hundreds of people around, wouldn't you want *him* to be the one with the noisy beacon?

FWIW, this is the card I'll be buying when I rebuild (fairly soon). I'm not major gamer, but it seems like it would do for newer FPS's at moderate resolution.

We bought one of these a few years ago before we had our son. It's a neat gadget, but really nothing more than a snuggly-looking (as is anything baby-related) microphone, amplifier, and headphones. Really, it was very difficult to hear anything using this device, even into the 3rd trimester. YMMV. A $10 telephone recording mic with the suction cup would probably work as well. (Come to think of it, we might try that next time.)
From a gadget perspective, I'd much rather have one of those hand-held ultrasound audio-only doodads that the OBs and midwives use.. They give you much better (louder, clearer) results, but of course present whatever danger one might ascribe to ultrasound waves being pointed at your unborn.
