I just wanted to write and let you know how much I love the Avenue Sofa Couch in Ella Citrus that I just ordered. It is absolutely wonderful! The fabric is beautiful!! The cushions are comfortable, yet firm, which is what I love. I did notice two tiny places where the fabric was snagged on the left back cushion and I called customer service and had a replacement within two days. Your company is wonderful to work with and your customer service department is so friendly and helpful. I will recommend your couches to everyone. Everytime I look at my new couch I can't help but smile :)

I will probably be placing another order within a month or two.

I did not realize TMJ could make your shoulders hurt. I have it and I know about the head aches,teeth pain, and jaw pain, but lately my shoulders have hurt horribly and i didn't make the connection. Thanks for sharing.

Peeing on the toilet is a major pet peeve of mine and it always seems to happen right after I have cleaned as well! I also hate when they leave the seat up and I go to pee in the middle of the night and fall in. As far as the dog with no helmet, people around here are not smart enough to put a helmet on their own head, but you can bet their dog would have one on. People in the south will kill over their dogs....protecting their brains? Not so important.

Maybe you'd be interested in this idea for a feature in your blog: show people how to HIRE an animator. I'm trying to find one and don't even begin to know where to start, what to expect to pay, how long it takes for a typical project (30 second commercial, for example). It's overwhelming. ::sigh:: But I'll add, it's been fun watching all the clips when I do a search!

Wow. This is my first time visiting you (from SITS). I love this post. First, I can totally relate to whole using humor to cover up insecurity thing. I don't know if I'm funny (probably not), but I find myself very entertaining... to myself.

When you mentioned the "event" I got tears in my eyes. I went through something a few months ago, and I'm told I should be fine, and I should be over it now. But I'm not. I don't know if I will ever be. I've mentioned it a few times on my blog, when I'm standing on the edge of a nervous break down, but usually I write about stupid random stuff so I don't have to think about things that really matter. But I'm always honest, and I've found that the more honest I am about my feelings on the blog, the better I feel.

I'm in the trenches with you on this one. My 6 month old doesn't really nap either, only for about 10 minutes at a time.

A few thoughts:
My oldest was like this as well. At night, he would only sleep a few hours. His body seemed to only require 6-7 hours of sleep total in a 24 hour period. Once he was 18 months or so and VERY active, he began to sleep well at night (meaning 9 pm to 7 am) but never really napped.

Fundamentally, it was biology and a lack of an ability to self-soothe that was at play with M.

With my current baby, it's a lack of strict schedule that is at play. With my middle two, we could do bedtime and naptime at the same time every day, but we're on the go too much. I'm working on trying to get my life to line up so that we're home more, or at least that I putting her down on the same blanket in the same manner so that I have portable routine. This baby does not sleep well in quiet....so I often turn on a fan or run the vacuum, etc. as she's falling asleep.

Have you tried using white noise (like a loud fan)?

We always stop in Rock Springs, and then again in Cheyenne, and again Ft. Collins-ish. Somewhere along that stretch there is an outdoor playground at a rest stop where we let them run around a bit and go down the slide a few times.

Does it really need to be all or nothing? If failure is one cookie....I think you're setting yourself up for failure. What gets me in trouble isn't a cookie....it's the third cookie that I have in a day. For me, success will come when I choose to have one cookie, and am satisfied physically and emotionally by that experience.

I will never be a stick thin person, even if I live only on diet coke like my MIL (who is skinny but NOT healthy). My genes just don't play out that way. I just want to have the energy and ability to run with my kids and do the activities that we want to do.

I would redefine success....and then set yourself up for success. Set a goal of being active for 15 minutes 3x a week...and then be consistent about that for two months. Then set a different goal.... Find something realistic and as you have little successes, the bigger goal of being healthier will come.

I have a problem with the fact that Obama's voting history is slim. He just did not vote on too many ocassions where votes were needed, stances should have been taken. Although, I did understand his arguement when asked about that history. I voted for Hill in the primaries because of her long-standing history of supporting causes for women and children. However, I'd throw my vigourous support behind either candidate. I think it's going to be Obama and I hope he has an uber-liberal agenda hiding under that cool, collected, exterior. We'll see.

BUT FF (Firefox) had the side bar thingy in there from previous versions, all you needed to do was click view and select sidebar in most if not all previous versions.

I have not tried out the new FF 2 Beta, still using 1.5.0.5 till I get my system up and running prolly next week, blew up another HDD of mine.

Otherwise as regards the plugins. YES some plugins are not supported when versions skip from say 1.5 to 2.0 but from say 1.5.0.5 to 1.5.2 the plugins will still work, so just look or check for updates as often as possible and google up some new plugins for your new version and it being beta.. development for some plugins might still be on hold till the knock out those bugs in the beta version.

Well, I had to set the record straight here...for one - Lou Pearlman did not name the band, they came up with the name themselves. Two - Kenny Rogers has been in the business a long time and would not sign a band based on their looks alone. I saw these young men perform with just a guitar and I can tell you that they are very talented and not some "manufactured" group. And before you dismiss my comments by saying I'm some hormone crazed teenie...I happen to be old enough to be their mother...good music is good music no matter what the genre or what your age is! good job with trying to save $. since "becoming unemployed" i am attempting to do the same.

i have been trying to force myself to do only 1 day of shopping per week (usually farmer's market for produce plus one trip to a regular grocery store) and then just DEAL WITH IT throughout the week. i am terrible at "meal planning" - i can barely plan my lunch at breakfast and i have the upmost admiration for folks who can decide what their dinners will be for the week on sundays. anyway, the 1 day thing has forced me to be more creative and less wasteful and it has definitely cut down on the bills.

I found a 6-speed Shimano autobike tossed out by the side of the road last year. It needed a few repairs I was able to do. I'm no bike expert but it's kind of fun to ride - although I do question its judgment at times so far as its shifting selections...

Okay, so question about charging...
I read in the manual that if it's off and charging, it'll be red (FLY logo on the pen) and when it's done it will turn off or whatever. And if it's on and charging, it's yellow.
I've tried charging it, on or off... sometimes left it over night, but mine seems to never get to "Battery level is: full." when I click the little battery status button on the notebook. Mine is ALWAYS at 'medium'.
Is there something wrong with mine? Help, pleaase? and thanks. =)

Well that's interesting because after reading the story when it first came out, I never saw anymore about it either on the telly news or the web so didn't know until now that it was a hoax!

It was certainly not the most outlandish story I had ever heard so as to be obviously fake as per the marketers idea...which is a very sad reflection on society I think.

I'd love to know why Sierra Club isn't on the list. Minnesota's chapter did an enormous amount of work organizing for the very successful Global Warming Day of Action event in St. Paul and has been one of the leaders in the fight against the Big Stone II coal plant. (no slight intended here to the other groups who have also been working on those issues, just acknowledging how involved the Minnesota SC has been)

It will be interesting to see if the Center for Climate Strategies group resists industry attempts to greenwash. One of the people listed on the CCS site at the link, Terry Tamminen, was very well thought of by California environmentalists for his work protectng the coast. Then he went to work for California's governor and was used for outreach to the environmental community to help Schwarzenegger get re-elected. I sat in a Sierra Club meeting in California and listened to Tamminen say things that just weren't true about an energy project that involved major greenwashing. His heart was in the right place, but he didn't look hard enough at industry claims.

Laurel, thank you for sharing. I, too, have gone through a "stripping away" process where I was taken away from many people and things that I used for direction, comfort, and fulfillment. ALthough not fun, I realized how faithful and all-sufficient He is. In Henri nouwen's book "Life of the Beloved", he talks about how God leads us to a place of brokenness for a purpose. Thanks again for sharing!

How do we protect our kids and friends? By educating them. Making them aware of the dangers of talking to people they don't know, or giving out too much information. Yes, myspace and other sites can be dangerous for children but by banning them we are only letting the predators have one more thing...claiming one more thing as theirs. But by fighting against it, monitoring what your children are writing and teaching them not to talk to people they don't know, you have now turned something potentially harmful into a safe place. I would never want to put any child at risk of getting hurt, but I don't think we can ever change anything by running away and hiding.

I read 'Diana' by Sarah Bradford this summer and I must say it was a very fair and balanced book which is rare conserning the 'subject' that it's treating. I saw you had Bradford's Queen Elizabeth II biography in your bookcase and at the view of your comment, you liked it. Perhaps you could had the Diana one but maybe you haven't read it yet ?

Less than two weeks away from my first in '07.

Beth - it's a good idea NOT to set a timed goal for your first. It's additional stress when, really, you just want to cross the finish line.

And 3 hours? Doubtful! Walkers make it in 3, you'll be ahead of the walkers.

Are you doing 10 and 1's - like RR suggests? Or are YOU hardcore and going straight through?

You know once you do a 21, you're not THAT far off of a 42...

Walk-ins are tricky like that... Some practitioners will be helpful, and the others are just plain awful. What kind of doctors just suggests you cut out caffeine all together? Especially if he hasn't examined you or had other tests...

Your old doc may be able to recommend a good GP. If she can't, ask your coworkers... That's what I did.

Ryan, i totally agree with you.

If the guy was at an all you can eat buffet and he was moaning about getting overcharged for eating too much, lets face it he wasnt eating salad! So even without seeing a picture of him, i think that we are safe to say that he is not a body builder but infact MORBIDLY OBESE.

I watched a program on the Discovery Channel sometime over Christmas, and it showed people in Texas, one man in particular was a similar weight and he also was proudly stating that he had been refused entry to a few all you can eat buffet diners. (since when has eating 3 prime ribs been something to bragg about)

It also showed an obese mother drive her son 50 ft (yes i said 50ft) so he didnt have to walkto the school but, what chance has this kid got! What the heck is going on there! Until then i had never heard something so ridiculous.

We need to starting waking up for the sake of our children.

Keep doing what you are doing Ryan, i do not want sugar coating.

I am one of the developers at Rail Life. We should have the [b]park-n-ride[/b] locations published on our interactive map found at [b][i] http://www.raillife.com/Map/Light-Rail-Map.aspx. [/i][/b]We are still developing this, but the locations should be out there in advance of the opening of the light rail line. We hope to have driving directions to each of the park-n-ride locations from an address that you supply. Hopefully this will help the community utilize the light rail system to a greater degree. We know that any kind of confusion will decrease ridership so we plan to make it as clear for people as possible to find information out about the light rail include directions to the park-n-ride locations.

Politicians always say the economy is going down so we need to raise taxes. Then they turn around and say the economy is going up so we need to raise taxes. Typical. Kind of kicks people when they are down. And it hurts the people that need to use the system the most.

I wish they would manage the system like a business and put money away for a rain day. Oh... that is right they do, but then they spend it. ;-)

I am downtown Phoenix right now in the Arts District and the trains are running about every 5 minutes. They are not packed but they are full.

We should also tell people about not crossing the tracks except at designated crossings. About 30 minutes ago I saw a woman try to cross the rail in front of a train. If she would have slipped getting up the curb she would not be alive today.

Should we redefine entirely, the word "artist", or just refine the existing definitions--sift through the dirt and let the gem(s) be revealed?

I'm interested in her point of latent traditions in the US; the residual Puritanical aspects of our society. I wonder if most people in America appreciate "hotel art" and Thomas Kinkade, et al, because of that. Maybe our society still values its artisans and craftspeople, but not its artists/philosophers.

And I wonder if her article will spur change in how decisions are made in society. We are problem solvers, critical thinkers, and we can approach an issue from indefinite angles because of these abilities. And yet, where are the artists? Locked in their studios, only allowed out for meals and exhibitions. I should like to see an artist/philosopher group working for the city, perhaps, and coming up with solutions for its problems--lack of culture, homicide, homelessness, etc.

I actually don't recall the lecture, James. As of late, I've rarely left the house but for school, and this summer I've been out of the country and in Boston for the last month. Sorry.

But while in Boston I visited a curious museum a couple of times. The Isabela Stewart Gardner Museum is the preserved home of Mrs. Gardner, and oh my god if there wasn't art everywhere you looked. There was no such thing as "Don't blink or you'll miss--" This woman's house was wall to wall to floor to ceiling art. Mind you, she was in her prime in 1880, but still. She didn't collect for her couch. I think she had one room filled with couches, actually.

Oh, cool! I left a little mark at LaVilla. It's this Technicolor rendition of Escher's Metamorphoses that goes along the math hallway where the Administration office and Guidance offices are. I haven't seen it in years, and I think someone may have finished it? I don't know. That thing is my claim to martyrdom, though.

I know you guys aren't limiting your discussion to professional artists, and that this is a forum for pretty much anyone to talk, yet I feel like I need to say something. I'm a senior in high school, I've gone to DA for the last 3 years, I'm starting to look at colleges...but I know that I don't have experience outside of high school gallery openings and summer programs. My friend Kylie (who is as serious about art as me, as you) and I were at Portent! (early, and left too soon). We want to be involved, we want to be heard... I don't want to be annoying or pushy, but can you guys throw us a bone at DA? I don't know, we're having issues I guess, but I feel like the high school is almost completely isolated from contemporary art in Jacksonville.

If "visiting/resident artist" is too much, at least visit one of our gallery openings. And maybe you have, I'm not accusing you of not (because what do I know, anyway? I'm as green as they come). It's not hot shit until the senior show at the end of the year, but I feel like you all (as our "beacons" of contemporary art) might benefit from touching base with some prominent young artists. If we recognize the growing scene, we might stay, come back, make it stronger. Just something to consider.

I'll post our gallery dates when I know about them. The first isn't the students' art, it's a show for Sarah Crooks Flaire (I believe is the name, but easily could be wrong). I have a friend interested in collaborating, and as soon as we come up with some stuff more representative of ourselves (you don't want to exhibit graphite still life drawings and neither do we), we'll be right over.

Even a better punter, that's what I meant. We'll see how it all works out. The bottom line is that all rookie QB's struggle. But there are always exceptions. Jake get's far more blame than he deserves. I really believe the team overall has some huge weaknesses (Ian Gold comes to mind). They still have Champ Bailey and Javon Walker. I'm sure the team will get hyped to help the new guy if survives the pass rush.

I must say that it wasn't that great. If you pay attention to the story the movie is all over the place. The only thing that save this movie from stinking was ledger's performance as the joker. He carry the whole movie on his shoulder. batman this time around was really weak and dull. I hated the voice and the gadgets felt they were boring compared to other surperhero movies. I didn't like the female lead did i think she was better than katie holmes yes. at the end of the movie you loose focus of where everyone stands and their purpose. I didn't like the character of two face. The actor they choose doesn't fit the role,he didn't convinced me. The make up was good they get thumbs up for the makeup. I just wasn't with batman on this one. i wanted to see more Joker and what he was going to do next. Batman is really confused when it comes to being a hero or accepting the fact that he is the hero not the villain.

Chickens are domestic animals. Domestic means that they have been breed by humans long enough that they no longer resemble their wild ancestors. They do not belong in the wild, in fact it would be cruel to release chickens into the wild since most breeds lack even basic survival skills.

Stop preaching a blind PETA backed agenda, the true cause should be responsibility, not complete avoidance. If you choose veganism for yourself that is fine, I respect that choice. But you loose the attention of the average person when you make statements as you did. Reduction of consumption and sustainable, humane agriculture should be the message.

i have tweaked a recipe to make it vegan friendly and it is a big hit...

2 cups all purpose flour

1.5 t baking soda

.25 t salt

1 t ground cinnamon

1 t ginger root finely chopped

.5 cup crystallized ginger finely chopped

.5 t ground cloves

.25 cup veg oil

.5 cup applesauce

.5 cup light molasses

1 cup packed golden brown sugar

preheat oven to 350 degrees. USE ORGANIC INGREDIENTS! mix wet ingredients in one bowl with brown sugar. mix dry ingredients in another bowl. combine. customize as desired (maybe less sugar or add vanilla extract). drop level tablespoons of dough onto sheet and bake for 11-14 minutes (you will find the right time after the first batch). let cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack to cool completely. cookie will crinkle when cooling. DELISH!

my best friend is not afraid to slap car windows, etc. i have to take a lighter approach after hearing about road rage-people hitting messengers with their trucks and killing them, etc. drivers might be wrong, but they are in vehicles that can do an awful lot of damage to you and your bike. be smart. be safe.

whole food has pros and cons. we have also done the comparison shopping. here in chicago, we have found wf is cheaper than dominicks with quite a few things. yes, they are expensive, but they offer a wide variety of produce and herbs that the other grocery stores do. that is a good thing for someone who likes to make food from scratch. it must cost them a bit to keep the variety they do. of course, my man noticed recently that they do not recycle. so, people eat the food they purchased to eat for a lunch in the store and toss there plastic, paper, and aluminum...in the garbage. boo.

When I first started to read this article I was going to comment because it sounded so stereotypical. Now, that I have read the complete article I have something different to say.

I was born and raised in Asia and moved to the United States to attend high school and college. Right now, I am studying abroad in Beijing for a year- I lived in a Chinese home stay the first semester and am planning to move into the dormitory the next semester. From what I see, Americans in suburbia are by far the most wasteful people I have seen. They think of nothing but what they will consume next weekend, they all need massive cars to look cool while getting from a to b. They waste electricity and water without thinking twice.

At least Beijing youth know not to waste electricity and water because of how they are brought up by their parents. Although Asians are known for eating a variety of meats they don't consume nearly as much as the average American teenage. In Asia, vegetables are a very important part of their diet. This is something else that youth learn from their parents. However, I would not go as far to say that Asian children are super obedient to their parents. They certainly learn to be more respectful towards their parents than American children but there are many Asian children whom rebel against what their parents might prefer for them. Obedience of Asians is a myth that Westerns used to justify making Asians work on their farms for lower wages than African American workers.

From what I know of Asia malls are springing up everywhere but its just not the same as in the United States where everyone can afford them. Only the rich go to the strip malls to purchase things. College students cannot afford the goods in the strip malls so they go to wholesale. Consumer culture is becoming more prevalent but as stated earlier I feel that it is much worse in the United States. Did the other persons whom commented know that China's population is concentrated in less than half of the land - the east side. The west side is almost barren and no one there practices crazy consumer culture. People talk about China as if it is all the same - I am telling you that it is not. Xinjiang province and Beijing are not the same.

The same is with supermarkets in Asia. There is a large difference between street stalls and a real supermarket. I have lived in places where the supermarkets are much cleaner than those in the United States. Location dictates how clean the supermarkets are.

What bothers me most is that people think that Asia is "developing" when what they really mean to say is that Asia has capital cities that look more like New York and Asian countries are learning English - becoming more like the United States. The same people turn around and say that Asia needs to clean up environmentally. It's like the kettle calling the pot black. We can trace a lot of the environmental problems of the United States to its industrial revolution but did the rest of the world insist that the United States was dirty and needed to be more environmentally friendly (immediately)? China is making its efforts towards cleaning up especially because of the upcoming Olympics they are working towards becoming more environmentally friendly.

I do not believe that the wanting of a diamond ring instead of a toaster has more to do with a change in government. During socialist rule everyone had the same things and were at the same standard of living. Now, we can see that there is a gap between the rich and the poor and a newly emerging middle class. The rich would want diamond rings now that it is so readily available but remember that many poor people cannot even think of owning such a thing.

I agree with Rob who says that there needs to be a change in the mindset of people in the world. What I would like to see in Asia is that each country have a recycling program. This gets people thinking about what products are made of. I would like to see less plastic supermarket bags, less throw-away chopsticks and plastic water bottles. I think that bringing your own canvas, cloth bag that you use over again to the supermarket is a good start. If people brought their own chopsticks to eat lunch in the cafeteria or to take out food this would help as well. I've noticed that in Beijing many people use their own water bottles or large water canteens to transport water instead of throw away bottles. I think that people in the United States are starting to do the same. Perhaps in the future there will be no need for bottled water.

I had to select "other", because I am not a morning person at all, but I hate DST. Or more precisely, I hate changing the time.

I don't care we use DST or Standard time, but switching between them sucks. Do you have any idea what a pain it is to write computer programs that deal with time and date correctly? Time zones, UTC and GMT (not the same thing!), the International Date Line, calendar change bounderies (e.g. Julian to Gregorian), leap years, leap seconds. It is a mess even before throwing in arbatrary things like DST.

Not to mention changing clocks, including your body's clock.

Just wanted to make a note about the leather/vegan comment. We really need to look at all sides of the issue. Buying "vegan" isnt always better for the environment. For example, it is better to buy real leather than pleather or fake leather. Synthetic materials to replace leather/furs are often made with unsafe chemicals, petroleum based products, etc.

I am NOT an expert on the matter, but I have never understood why some vegans would rush out to buy the latest trend fake fur coats which use up a lot of oil to make them and would take hundreds of years to biodegrade... but then would chastise me for buying a used fur coat to keep warm in scandinavia. Seems smarter to me to re-use something that is biodegradeable than to rush out and buy something that isnt sustainable or environmentally friendly.

I think it's incredibly sad .Obviously as the man stated he felt overwhelmed.The saddest part to me is why there is no family support to help this man out?Also why didn't he try to get help from government agencies to keep his family together?Maybe he could have temporarily put the younger children in foster care and at least kept the older ones until he was back on his feet.With the state the economy is in I'm sure this is a tragic situation and I feel terrible for this family.I hope there is SOMEONE going to help them. :cry:

Are you kidding? She won't be judged based on emotional hype, she'll be judged based on her actions both during and after the alleged event. By the way, a jury is usually picked based on how little knowledge they have of the court case. And what of the mother who lost her 18 year old baby? Is that fair for her? Is it right that the woman who took her daughters life gets to carry on with life as usual because she has been remorseful all these years? Maybe we should go ahead and clear out the prisons with murderers who have been in there 10 years or more because I'm sure they'd all say they too are remorseful for their actions...especially if it meant freedom. I tell you what, if someone accidentally killed my daughter I'd spend the rest of my life hunting that person down and bringing them to justice too.

Actions have consequences. I had a drunk driver hit me when I was 21 years old and he forever changed my life. I have ZERO tolerance for drunk drivers and the lives they destroy!! It's easy to be on the side of the party that survived and say she doesn't deserve prison time. Imagine your mother, sister, grandmother, best friend dead at the hands of a driver who never faces punishment. Imagine someone telling you that too much time has now passed and that driver has moved on and created a happy life for themselves, but is remorseful for their actions those 10 years ago. I find it hard to believe that you would be accepting of anything less then watching that person stand trial for the death of your loved one.

I can't feel pity for someone who ran from their consequences. A poor mother grieved her daughters death for years and now sees images of the guilty friend partying, moving on with her life, pregnant, married...all the things that she had dreamed for her own daughter years ago. That mother was robbed of her future and your friend escaped punishment. Living a life of remorse is not equivalent to facing the mourning mother, telling her you're sorry and serving out your punishment. 18 is a legal adult, and assuming that this friend of yours is intelligent...I'm sure she knew that driving drunk could have tragic consequences.

Not everyone wants to know the names of these people to exert vigilante justice. Don't you think people have a right to know this about someone if they move in? I would expect it likely these people will need to move. If you had a teen-age daughter, how would you like it if they moved in next door to you and you did not know about this? I have to say that this sounds like these girls were just mad when they found out he was seeing others, besides just them. Yes, he shouldn't have been messing around with girls who were underage, but he is 20 and they are 15-17. It's a little different (in my opinion) than if he were 40, or even 30. He definitely made a mistake (or several), but it looks to me like he's going to be paying because these girls got their hearts broken, rather than because they were actual victims of sexual abuse.

I'm not Shasta or Greg, but from where I stand they've experienced several consequences of their actions:

- They publicly lost their jobs.
- They lost their marriages.
- Their actions hurt a lot of people (including me), and they have had to deal with all kinds of relational fallout.

I'm sure they could add more to the list. They aren't avoiding the consequences of their actions; rather, it seems that they haven't missed a minute.

Would some public self-flagellation satisfy everyone who thinks they haven't suffered enough? Will they ever suffer enough? Should we crucify them just to make sure?

We have 3 vehicles in our household - and to make matters worse - our 16 year old son drives a 4WD Tahoe.

Okay, maybe "adrenal insufficiency" is a better word! :) Basically, my cortisol levels were backwards - way too high at night...and too low at other times.

I know that this next comment may bring alot of reaction - but, basically here is the situation. I am 42 years old and overall very healthy. I have been in an extremely stressful job for about 4 years (no, I am not a doctor, police officer, etc.). My body has been running in "stress mode" so long that when I finally said "enough" - my body did not know what to do! All of the sudden my cortisol, several hormone levels, etc. all got unbalanced - kind of like when you are on a see saw with someone and they abruptly get off and your butt hits the ground so hard it takes you a day or two to recover the feeling in your butt! Ha!

Anyway, thanks for the information. Fortunately, I have a new doctor who is not "RX happy" - and have found a combination of multi vitamins and minerals that are working beautifully! Of course, I should have been taking vitamins before all this happened....ha!

And, it's not about a "label" - it's about the fact that the lab results have shown that my cortisol levels are ridiculously off - and just so you don't come up with the notion that the results were "fixed" - I did the saliva test twice - and the results were almost identical from 2 different labs. And now, by supplementing with a multi vitamin and trace minerals - my life has changed dramatically - thank you very much! I am not one to claim to have some "fatigue syndrome" and then sit on my butt all day claiming that I cannot work because I am "sick". I chose to seek out why I was feeling bad and work towards getting my life back - and living it to the fullest - which I have done successfully!

And for your information - I am not one to get my medical advice or treatment from a website (of any kind)! I did however, research in great detail my symptoms - mainly because I would rather spend my time getting some information before spending 100's of dollars going from doctor to doctor to doctor to doctor.....

I recently could not find a doctor who could discover what was causing all the symptoms I was struggling with - I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia (sp?), RLS, and several other problems - but, I knew that was not what was wrong. So, since I was not sleeping at night - I hopped on the internet and began to research and research...and research! I was so desperate for an answer...and I soon discovered that it appeared that I had adrenal fatigue! My cortisol levels were so out of whack - it was insane. It took me 3 months to find a doctor who would even consider this and set me up for a saliva test. The doctor I found mentioned that insurance would probably not pay for this test - but, I was willing to pay whatever it took to figure out what was wrong! Finally, an answer and a diagnosis! I found that the doctors I had were not even open to any tests - and then there were the doctors who would not even listen to what I was saying...it was frustrating!

While I agree that there are way too many people who are using the internet in place of doctors - in my case, it helped arm me with the information I needed for find a doctor who was knowledgeable in the treatment and causes of adrenal fatigue!

I ate lunch on the terrace at Via Vite Tuesday, and it was fabulous. The food was great, the service was excellent, and the location was superb. (It didn't hurt that it was a beautiful day and the flower carpet had just been installed.) The only bad part is that the parking lot entrance blocks the view of the square from the inside and makes the entrance hard to find. When I was raving about it to my boyfriend later, he didn't even know there was a restaurant there.

Haha - it's funny that you bring up that particular post, because my friends and I actually just tried making that Bloomin' Onion recipe this weekend!

We were visiting some friends who live in West Chester, and they were listing off potential dinner spots (all chains), and when they got to Outback, I said, "You know, there's a recipe online to make your own Bloomin' Onion."

Were they into it? You better believe it. So we made burgers and Bloomin' Onions at home for a quarter of what we would've spent at a restaurant.

But if you find yourself in the Columbus area, I'd be very interested to know how Bento Go-Go turned out. The bento restaurant opened my senior year, and I think I only ever went there for "sake-tinis."

My boyfriend is from NC, and his opinion is that you simply cannot get truly good barbecue (meaning pulled pork; to him, there is no other definition of "barbecue") in Cincinnati. But the place that comes closest for him is Pit-to-Plate.

Me, I just like ribs, wherever they come from. Never had BBQ Revue, even though I live close by - maybe I'll try it to see what all the fuss is about.

Julie - good point. Pit-to-Plate serves their pulled pork plain and has like six sauces to choose from, including the very runny, vinegar-y stuff that is the standard in NC.

Meanwhile, City Barbeque has a sauce they describe as NC-style, but it doesn't taste much like vinegar at all, from what I remember. That's probably why my boyfriend can't stand that place.

My tip for outsiders trying to ease into Cincinnati chili: start with the coneys. I moved here in sixth grade, and that's how I've been eating it for at least five years (before that, I got a salad because I couldn't stand the chili in any form).

Last month, my boyfriend (who moved here in college, but loved Cincy chili right from the start) shamed me into taking a bite of his five-way, and amazingly, I loved it! I think all the coneys got me acclimated to the taste.

記的要升大專時都會翹晚上補習的課
去台中棒球場幫味全加油.....^^
後來他們雖然種種原因解散..
經過一陣時間掙扎才又繼續看棒球

雖然現在台灣棒球的球團也承認各自為政
有種不團結的感覺
這些球員也許參加國際賽經驗不夠
不過...我想..我還是會支持
希望未來只有進步
不要退步喔!......^^

在需要寧靜的時候
輕輕的音樂可以讓心情安靜下來

我也很喜歡輕音樂喔!
尤其是搭配海浪聲或大自然的聲音
會感覺身後就是海洋
吹著海風....幻想中

I have found coding in the text override property of some dimensions in some files that have been converted to AutoCAD.

I figured out that \F is font name but there is a \Q with a setting of 0.000000. I'm unsure what Dim variable that is.

If there a way to batchscript this coding out?

I agree with a lot of what you say about delaying foods but I wouldn't go by their teeth. My oldest had her first 2 teeth at 5 months but we didn't start solids for another month. My youngest didn't get teeth until 8 months. But we gave her chunks of fruit and vegetables. Even without teeth she managed to gum everything down. We hardly gave her any purees besides applesauce. She just turned a year old today and will be breast-fed until she is ready to be done and she is perfectly capable of eating anything we do with only 6 teeth.

As for cereal. It is totally unnecessary and has very little nutrition. Babies used to be started on cereal because it was iron fortified. But now formula is iron fortified so it's unnecessary. And while breastmilk has a lot of less iron than formula it is absorbed at a much higher rate than the iron in formula. As long as the mom is not anemic then you don't need to worry about their iron levels.

I have worked at NCH for 24 years and please believe that they were doing the best for your baby. RSV can be a deadly disease. Airway and oxygenation is the number one concern. We want the babies breast fed when possible, but you are being too focused on that. She was getting the nutrition she needed. The staff is not trying to deprive you of this, it just may not be the priority of the moment. Also, Any baby can still breastfeed with an IV if the Dr approves it. It sounds like you got some wrong info. I am sure the hospital did everything right, and you should be thankful that she is back home with you instead of being negative about the whole situation. You are lucky she was not intubated and on a ventilator in the PICU. Please get the right info because what you say may affect others.

we also like beer cheese soup.

saure in pan, 1 cup chopped onion, 1 cup chopped carrots, 1 cup chopped celery with 2 tablespoons butter. saute until vegetables are slightly tender. add 1/4 cup flour. add 1 can beer and 2 cups vegetable broth. let boil for 5 mintes. add 1 cup sour cream, 2 cups cheddar cheese. stir until cheese is melted. enjoy!

I myself do not like beer, but my husband likes the taste in the soup. you can add 1 1/2 cup extra vegetable broth instead of the beer. also, i use 1 cup cheddar cheese and 1 cup velvetta cheese. I like to make it extra creamy and not such a wow first bite.

our favorite at our home is salsa enchiladas.

1 1/2 cup chuncky style salsa
1 tsp. chili powder
1 cup instant rice
1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
1 can corn with peppers, not drained
flour tortillas
cheddar cheese

mix salsa and chili powder. bring to boil for 5 mintues. remove from heat. add rice. cover and let stand 5 mintes. add beans, corn and 1/2 cup cheese. mix well. serve on tortillas ( kinda like a taco )
add cheese, sour cream and more salsa if desired. very yummy.

you can also add everything to a crock pot and let it cook for 1/2 the day. makes your house smell delicious too.

Poor little man! Praying for quick recovery for him and you! You should report your experience to the patient advocate at the hospital. They need to know and will not be pleased at how you or your baby were treated today. I know it is over for you, but you don't want anyone else to endure that kind of #$%^&* either! Sorry, I really hate to hear that he was so miserable...it was totally unnecessary! Thank God that children are so resilient. i'm sure Ozzie is quite happy to be with his loving family tonight! I've got number 3 on board right now. Had our big 20 week sono today and all looked great. We are not finding out the sex this time. We did with both of our boys but this will probably be the last one and we decided we would go for it this time. It's exciting! No belly pics yet but you are inspiring me! A swing for sure. My son slept in his for the fist couple of months because of his reflux. That is the only things and I agree with having a changing table. I too had a c-section and it made changing him alot easier. Of course, after the 1st year, I stopped using it and now it's full of his "school" papers and other stuff.

I'm not sure what your husband did to have to pay $180, but you can get it at your local MCSS or Main Exchange for up to 25% off retail!

The PDG GOLD software is only $80 retail, so he must have bought more than just that. And if you bought it direct from the company, you can't blame them for the shipping charges you chose, they have no control over FedEx!

Good luck to your husband though. The software is awesome, you just have to have a little fun with it!

I'm not married nor do I have children BUT I have a boyfriend who is obsessed with football...he has 3 fantasy football teams. He Tivos the games and we dont start watching them till like 15 min after they start to avoid commercials. I've always liked football,not enough to want to watch all the games though. I just sit and watch, sometimes go online. What has helped me is that I started actually learning about his fantasy teams and how it works, which is actually kind of interesting...it makes the game more interesting.

Google maps will allow you to virtually drive the hood and see all views of the house from the street with zoom. It isn't available in all areas though. In my area, the photos are about a year old. plug in the address and if street view is available it will show a thumbnail of the target, click and go. Go get em!

Morgna's coat is absolutely precious!! Does she have trouble walking in it? When we put Brady's winter coat on, he wobbles around like a weeble!! It's like he's not used to the added weight! And ya...the driveway is not a great place for Brady either. He has already met the pavement up-close twice. Hope Morgan's face heals quickly!! It always looks so much worse than it actually is!

Brady does this every once in a while too....will go through a spurt of moaning/crying at times during the night. It always makes me realize how lucky we are that he is such a great sleeper....and sympathize for parents who have bad sleepers!! ;)
