Then suddenly lost it.
I thought : maybe it's because it's under the main domain.
So, I pointed the DNS to my website's hoster and now it's www.website.com, but I still have no pagerank.
At least I got good news this week. The people at DMOZ already updated to my new URL, which was quite kind from their side.
I guess I'll have to wait.
I wish I'd have at least a pagerank of 1, but I got 0 for my website and blog. And when I check my link popularity, I don't get links under Google and MSN....I wonder why. I even have submited a sitemap to Google...
Anyway, what matters to me now is writing good content on my blog, or at least trying.

Take care and good luck with your website,

José

Re: PageRank Update – Beware Of Link Exchange Offers

Hi,

Well, I had my website's (not my blog) name as a subdomain (host/mysite) and had a pagerank of 2. A bought program would be done in a universal language - we were close with assembler and machine code, I guess - and the computer would compile it to run under the user's preferred operating system.
Do it ! :-)

Kind regards,

José

Re: Stylish House Numbers

Hi,

Very good taste on these.
The 8 is my favourite, but on the other hand it kind of doesn't connect with the rest.

Kind regards,

José

Re: 100 Most Commonly Misspelled Words in American English

Hi,

One of the most common mistakes is using "then" instead of "than".
I have the tendency to write "abble" instead of "able", but then again I'm portuguese, so I have an excuse.
What about aesthetics / esthetics, I would guess it was included.

Kynd reegards,

José :-)

Re: Megan Fox @ The Video Game Awards |

If I were a bull.... :-)

Re: Obama’s Call For A Renewable Energy Future

Hi,

I do hope that other countries are not waiting for the USA to start, especially when they are far from being a good example in terms of polution.
It's shameful that a crisis was needed to talk about this. IPOs of major internet related companies still draw attention from investors and the successes of Google and Baidu are inspirations for the following ones.
It's important to notice that although the USA continue to be the barometer of the world's economy, the buying power is starting to get more balanced, shifting towards East, namely Russia, China and Middle East; something that one can confirm if paying attention to who buys what at auctions from Christie's or Sotheby's.
Yandex is part of a market with great possibilities and certainly will appeal to the big players.

Have a nice week,

José

Re: 2008/06/06/tenantwiz/

Hi,

I agree that a good software should be paid for.
Even some of the free public domain software, many times deserves a compensation, which many times can be done by clicking one of those donate buttons.
Of course that I think that sometimes the prices are too high, namely here in Portugal.
Now, the only thing that may put an obstacle on the sales of this product is the monthly fee.
Of course that for those who own houses through all the world and work with companies such as La Perla, that's less than pocket change.
But I believe that in the future they'll have to revise the price policy, for the competition is peeking.

Have a nice weekend,

José

Re: The Quest for the Perfect Coffee!

Hi,

You can have a good coffee here in Portugal :-)
I don't know if I can mentions brands, but if not, then please modify this comment.
Portuguese brands : Delta (I like the Platina blend)
Sical (now it's owned by Nestlè)
Nicola
Italian brands : I like Mokai (I can't remember how it's spelled).
Mind that's important to have a good machine (Briel is a good portuguese brand), a good grinding and to know how to take a coffee.
Good luck with your request.

Kind regards,

José

Re: 9 Gorgeous Photos Featuring Smoke

Hi,

The rose in a vase is my favourite.
Awesome photos, showing great creativity.

Have a nice time,

José

Re: Twitter Vs RSS

moooOO

I've read about Tweeter a while ago but haven't paid much attentionto it.
There's so much social stuff around the net.
But I think I'll give it a look. These are what we call barometers and they usually stand through stormy times.
Being a barometer of the internet companies, I believe that Yahoo has a word to say in this competitive market and the know how to adapt itself to new trends and even create them.
I do hope that Yahoo and other companies keep independent to avoid disguised monopoly.

Have a nice Easter,

José Carrilho

Re: Travel Bloggers + Good Cause = Passports with Purpose

Hi,

This is a good and creative idea.
It's good to see that each passing day, bloggers get more united to support worthy causes.

Wish you a Merry Christmas,

José

Re: Bumblebee bed

Hi,

Now, this one I wasn't expecting.
Simple and effective.
I like the bunk bed (beliche in portuguese) design better than the sofa.

Kind regards,

José

Re: Stardust - LED Furniture!

Hi,

LED lights, although not something new, will start to be more and more used.
I can forsee this being done with pijamas (sp?).

Kind regards,

José

Re: Get Your EcoMemory Foam in Las Vegas!

Hi,

This reminds me that I need to buy a new matress.
I can't afford buy one of these though.
I got one of those memory foam pillows, but not of "that" well known brand.
