Nice post on a rarely addressed topic.

I have worked in four software companies across India.
Workplace ethical issues are blatant and gross problems in companies I have seen. Its commonplace to find - all-day open personal mail site, chat windows, stock trade sites, forwarded entertaining e-mails on office mail-id.

I am witness to a record - one of my colleagues got >100 new fwd mails in a single fetch from server during an afternoon when he already has checked mails in morning !!

I believe these issues to be a major reason for our low productivity etc.
