in Intelligender? on Dale Fincher
I am currently 12 weeks pregnant, and I plan on taking the Intelligender test.

I can tell you right now that people who are getting abortions do not go to the trouble of wasting $35 on a gender test...most people who get abortions do not want to know anything about the baby, that would make it harder for them to go through with it.

The test is really meant for fun, there is about a 7% chance the test will be wrong, so people still need to wait until their 20 week ultrasound to find out for sure. People want to take these tests not so they can abort their baby based on sex, but so they can start planning, painting rooms, and collecting things for their babies.

i will use what others are saying... NOT as plagiarism, but i'll go to quotes and book excerpts.

BUT, one thing i do is write out brief sketches whenever i do have a spurt of creativity, then i've got lots on reserve when i need to pull something out.

in Is the PNM the best political party? on Speak Out For Trinidad & Tobago
Indo, you have to understand that the UNC has to find out about the wrong doing of the rulling PNM, and tell the citizens of this country about them ministers corruption. Basdeo Pandey wants the public to understand that mannings administration is full of corruption.

my "church" may not be the biggest, but it is pretty awesome. we have 4 people and we meet at least once a week for a few hours, usually more. one of used to work at the "big" church and the other 3 were hardcore volunteers. we all got frustrated with the commercialism, the fakeness and the lack of community. we hang out and eat, talk about life, all of it...good and bad. we keep each other accountable not only to the solid truths we grew up learning, but also to serving, treating others with respect, learning to live with less, respecting the enviornment, etc. and, we eat out...and tip very well. ;)

When we stop making generalizations about large groups of people and start seeing them as individuals, actually listening to and respecting different points of view, thats when Christs love can shine the most brightly. I believe Payshun has explained it correctly, many (not all) fundamentalists are more intrested in being right than in being loving, and yes, its sad for those who they could of touched with Gods love. God doesnt need us to micromanage for him, so we should learn the wisdom of listening.>

Thats right Deb, I think that is what Brian Mclaren is saying in this article. Lets stand with the hurting no matter who they are, and let them tell their stories, we might learn something if we would listen.>

Kevin, what kind of church do you go to?>

in Brian McLaren: Compassion and Hope in the Haggard Scandal on God's Politics
You are right Kevin. Its a personal as to how we live simply in our circumstances. For example I drive a large Suv, people might look at my car and say its immoral to drive it, they may not realize that my car is totally paid off, and that fact allows me to be a stay at home mom and be home with my young kids. Plus, my car that seats 8 has allowed me to help many people in my community, like bring elderly friends of mine to church and helping a friend who is a single mom get her kids to school and back everyday. Freedom of Simplicity by Richard Foster is an excellent book, regarding living simply as an American Christian.

I guess im idealistic but it just seems that many churches are very inward focused, and forget that we have a huge task to do on this earth and I think more churches could to a better job of getting out in their communities. It seems to me liberal denominations are doing a better job in that respect, although its so encourging to see whats starting to happen through the emerging church movement. It saved my faith to be honest with you.>

Your part of the country is not alone, its the same in the many parts of California I have lived in, and Here in Idaho where I live now. American Christianity needs to simpify and get back to the main point!!! Jesus and his love.>

Yes!! Everytime I drive by the church parking lots sunday mornings and see hundred of expensive cars in the parking lots, I think what if these people all left that church and went into the community and started volunteering their time with the poor, beat down and broken hearted. What a force for good the church would be!!>
