I bought two cases of the 2004, the last bottle of which we enjoyed last week. I have an empty bottle in my cellar to remind my wine shop to order some of the 2005. It's a great value and an excellent wine. Symington/Dow know what to do.

More reviews on red Douros, please. I think they are coming into their own.

I would vote for the pilgrims crossing the river. I would walk hundreds of miles for a good Rioja and spit roasted lamb!

My first Rioja was probably a Faustino Reserva or a CUNE. Rioja was the red wine that began my love affair for pairing wine and food, especially charcoal grilled lamb. My favorite Rioja would have to be either the Ganuza or the 2001 Muga Seleccion Especial. What I love about a well made Rioja is the robust rounded balance and silky vanilla-tinged tannins. It is without doubt one of my red favorite wines in the world. Viva La Rioja!

Good topic. I wonder what is out there from 1973. To be honest I have never even looked into what the 73 vintage was like around the globe. Last month I paid the most I have ever spent on a single bottle of wine. A 2003 Cab.Sauvignon from Chateau Montelena that I bought right at the winery after a tasting. I think that the most I had ever spent on a bottle of wine was just below $30, so at $105 this was for sure out of character for me. I bought it with the thought of saving it for my first daughter who was born in 2003. If she behaves she'll get the bottle sometime around 2023. I'll keep it as a surprise in case I change my mind and decide to open it during a moment of weakness... ;-)

Hey, this is pretty cool, but instead of buying a $30 inkless pen, why not just spend the $30 on a jumbo box of pencils? Which, even if you write letters in pencil instead of email, will last you for many years beyond the inkless pen.

Whatever, food for thought. I won't lie, I'd buy it.

Rather than spending $130, why not just hang the ornaments up higher and save yourself the embarrassment of having a stupid upside-down Christmas tree?

Wieso sollte man als frischer Kopf zur SPD gehen? SPD Ortsverbände haben doch garkein bock auf junge und neue Leute. Die jungen Leute sind halt eher grün oder gelb.
