Clearing the cache does *not* lock up the browser. Get your facts straight. Also, if you want to do a true speed test, get the browsers to open a saved tabset (not sure if ff can do this by default) of say.. 30 tabs of your home page and then see which browser is quicker. I'd be suprised if firefox is even close.
